Molot: the compressor with характер.
Looking for transparent compressor ? This is not your choice. This compressor adds a lot of color...
Too complex ? This compressor is not for beginners. It’s pretty hard to tune it up but if you’re able, you’ll get THE sound!
Scared with GUI ? GUI language can be switched. Also there’s GUI-less version included.
Too much CPU ? Turn off oversampling.
Too much distortion ? First, match your levels to 0 dbVU = -18 dBFS. Next, saturation can be switched off. See the manual for details.
Too noisy ? Turn off the dithering. See the manual for details.

The best.

Despite it's age Molot is one of the best free compressors. And in my opinion better sounding (and less aliasing) than it's successor "Molotok" by TDR. By the way: I consider Tokyo Dawn Labs praised a bit to high. Although they seem to know a lot about aliasing, Kotelnikov and Molot alias more as my stock-compressors, with the extra of super high CPU-consumption.
Limiter ceiling Help?? setting all over the place! i like to set at -1.0db but it goes -2.0db upwards! any advice please??
It is no brickwall-limiter!

An early version of a now commercial plugin from Tokyo Dawn Labs.
Works great for Audacity. Glad it came in English too! Great punch on drums & tight vocal sounds. The mid scoop knob is just wonderful.

Nice character compressor for bus use

Добър е! Учудващо, че е безплатен!
Careful when using the 'oversampling' feature, it may cause stability issues (was rendering corrupt files for me)
What was wrong with the files ? Did you render offline or in real time ?

The best compressor ever. The only replacement for rs 124

Not only good for adding a bit of saturation, but also for general compression!

Amazing compressor, especially on the buss. Also, when pushed works well as a dynamic transient designer on individual tracks, much like my old drawmer Dl251/241 compressors. - Many thanks to VladG

I have been using this plugin for a number of years now and love it. I also use hardware analog comps and this badboy gives you the punch & control FOR FREE. !!! It does have its place with mixing or mastering and you will have to learn it to get the best out of it !!!

Great mastering compressor. I love it.

Maybe the most powerful and advanced mastering copmpressor, very simple to use, don't use a lot processor speed. I don't now what this guy installed inside this plug-in but this one sounds really good for home studio use.

This is the best compressor you can get for free. My favorite thing in this compressor is that you can switch between 2 modes, Alpha and Sigma, so basicly this is a 2 in 1 compressor, because the two modes has totally different sound. I love to use this on the Master channel.

Great comp. It is very functional. The sound retains movement even when compressed a lot, I find it great for drums because it doesn't turn them in to a flat line but still tames them well.

It looks busy, but it's well laid out and each feature is useful vs. just looking cool. Comes with plenty of presets as a baseline to help you learn. I also recommend the authors Limiter6 plugin.

It takes a bit to learn how to use, but it's worth it. Great for bass guitars!
I completly agree with you! Best free compressor for bass (and electric) guitars and one of the best for general tasks. Sophisticated gui! But I wish there could be virtual flowers on it :-D :-D

Excellent. Place it on my Vocal track, and I like it.
I use Studio One and it doesn't show up in the AU list. For some reason it opens gleetchlab on my computer instead... Can anyone help?
