Anawave is a hybrid analog/wavetable synth.
The waveform oscillators allow you to draw, import, and export waveforms. I have included a set of 50 waveforms I made for this project. Simply use the load and save buttons to add or save a waveform.

Basic, straightforward synth. Strongest on bassy sounds and to explore the timbres of different waveforms. Created for the KVR Developer Challenge 2009. Total of four oscillators: Two groups (A and B) with one standard and one freely drawable waveform each. To draw, drag mouse pointer over wave while holding the left mouse button, or use touch screen. An update would be desired: Functions of OSC 1 and Wave 1 knobs in Mixer A are accidentally mislabeled (switched, i.e. the OSC 1 knob serves Wave 1 Osc and vice versa), which can be annoying to remember if you do not use the synth every day. LFOs cannot be synchronized with project tempo.
Good for dubstep.

Fantastic plugin for some nice and harsh analog sounds, especially leads. Wish it could be automated in Ableton Live though.

Pretty cool synth, imo. It's very straight forward, nice/clean/easy interface, and makes designing a sound easy and limitless. I like that it doesn't have any on board effects (unless you count the filters), since there's thousands of great free effects out there to use, many of which are immensely more powerful than any synth's in-built effects. This allows you to, much more precisely, dial in exactly what you want. The only thing that I would like to see, is the ability to also load waveforms in wave format.

I got interesting sounds out of it with a little experimenting. I found it easier to just draw some wave forms than to try loading them.
