TAL-BassLine, a free virtual analog bass synthesizer especially made for bass, acid sounds and effects.
It's based on a robust core and has the usual controls of analogue hardware synthesizers. A unique -18dB low pass filter with a lot of asymmetric and random components introduce a warm and analogue sound. Very fast, non linear envelopes are also a part of this synth.

Great sounding plugin, just wonder why its audio output crashes, when using it together with Oxe FM Synth in a project. Not sure, if this very unusual issue only does occur in my DAW (Zynewave Podium free x64) Any workaround solution for this yet? (Changing the DAW answers are 0% helpful and will be ignored, not only since this kind of issue is the only known Ive experienced since 5 years) Seems, both plugins are using the same hardware ressources, but I'm really no Audio expert, so I'm asking you guys for help.

If you need that dirty lo-fi bassline, The Tal-Bassline might be for you. Though the knobs and switches are small, there are ways to get access to the good stuff without having to squint your eyes. Example: In Reason 10, I recommend putting the Tal-Bassline in a Combinator and accessing its parameters via the Programmer, and assigning them to the Combinators' knobs and buttons. *** Important Notes: Reason 10 users: If you're auditioning Togu Audio Line products and wish to add tracks but still want to hear them, I recommend recording them first before adding tracks. If not, the VSTs will not work.

Lots of issues here. The GUI is horrible. Tiny incremental twitches of the mouse make HUGE changes. I also find it's got triggering issues with my keyboard. Modulator is ok but very hard to dial in. Noise too. Filter and amplitude envelopes are semi useless due to triggering issue. In spite of all that though it's a pretty intuitive design and the tone is great, super fat. I actually think it probably makes nicer leads than basslines. Not sure if I'll use this long term but I certainly want to.

When I first downloaded this, I checked quickly the presets, and found it pretty average... The presets does'nt do justice to this great VSTi (ok, there where no presets on the original SH-101). If we ignore the presets, this is a truly excellent VSTi, sounding extremely close to the real thing.
Presets? Where? I haven't found any presets at all. I've clicked on everything and - nope - no presets. How did you get them?

in love wid da bass
Mac AU not working in file ... The other Tal-Togu File NoiseMaker is working though... The Mac AU is 32 bit only...
Anyone else have issues with the VST crashing when more than 1 automation is recorded? Fruity loops (windows 10 64bit).

For people using version 64 bit, you need to rename the file in your plugin folder = TAL-BassLine x64.dll
Tried that, doesn't work. In the Vst folder or...? Also, on a mac.

Cubase 5.1 recognize it, cubase 6.0 don't (???) All in the same folder with other TAL plugs. I see for example TAL dub 2, but no trace of Tal instruments...so saaaaad!
Great little synth! However, 1 note always stick when I use the sustain pedal !!!
Not recognised in either 64 or 32bit versions in Cubase 5

Sehr Roland. Wer poly und Delay braucht, nimmt aber SuperwaveP8. (Very Roland. Who needs poly and delay, takes the SuperwaveP8 instead.)
For Mac User, you need to 32bits. check the list http://support.apple.com/fr-fr/HT3696

Good nostalgic sounds, but I don't use as a bass machine very much!
Has anyone had success using this in OSX? Logic's Audio Unit Manager doesn't see it.

It's a SH101 emulator. Both sounds and works better as VST than Roland's own GooveSynth in cakewalk

Can get some good 80's retro sounds!!!!!

Ironically the TAL Electro has much better bass selection
Ha! So True!

I allways prefered Micromoog....but this one is good enough for what it does. 4 stars because it comes as a 64bit VSTi !
