It never crashed on me, but the v1.02 was *very wicked*! The v2 was a bit tame but the feedback worked. In either case had to route a DC cleaner right after it because it produced loud clicks when stopping audio on it. IMHO this is better than any 64-bit distortion plug-in especially whatever comes only in VST3.
Whoa hold -What's wrong with VST 3?? I'm only downloading VST 3 plugins after I lost all mine...

Still my favorite distortion plugin. It gives you easily amazing options to create any kind of distorted and crunchy sounds even the saturator alone makes the sound even fatter. Great stuff but pity that it is kind of abandoned.
Use a little bit of a combinaison of overdrive and valve to color your sound as an exciter ! You can make "dirty sounds" if you want ! Good plug !

Does wonders in my metal vocal tracks. It's the only distortion plugin I found so far that adds slightly distortion and overdrive to a track without changing its tone drastically.

This is awesome. You can turn a simple sine wave into a gritty monster just with a few clicks.

It's a pretty good Vst, there are sweet saturations and big overdrives with unearthly cracks..

I've used this on multiple projects and I love it. It's a great free distortion that's better than alot of the expencive ones out there.
