Swanky Amp is a tube amplifier based on detailed simulations of tube amplification.
Swanky AMP is powered by a state-of-the-art tube amplifier model. The model is based on detailed simulations of real tube amplifier circuits, and is built using a variety of modern digital signal processing techniques.
Measurements were taken of the response of the full amplifier circuitry. In this way, the subtle interplay of the various sections of an amplifier were captured.
Sag isn't just voltage starvation, it is the coordinated response of a variety of electrical components to this voltage drop. Note bloom isn't just the compression of notes near breakup, it is the balance of the onset of distortion with the release time of the distortion ceiling.
By capturing these nuances, and exposing them as intuitive controls, Swanky AMP offers endless sonic possibilities.

Sounds really great for clean tones. Unfortunately, it is high noise just like all guitar amp vst sims. For clean tones s/n is like 60db at best and for high gain it's more noise than signal. Nice tubey 'chime' anyway.

Sometimes it produces this very high frequency, which is pretty irritating, and it forces me to restart my DAW.

No problem of stability the transients of the bass and to saturate the sound and obtain a good signal level.

More naturally, more authentically sounding and reacting tube amp tones, than you get from most commercial tube amp simulations, if you adjust the plugin properly.
One of the very few plugins (in fact two, including this one), out of which I ever got a convincing Plexi tone, but it also is capable of a lot of other, very good British as well as American sounding clean and high-gain tones and everything in between, due to a lot of different, great working tone shaping options. The built-in cabinet simulation also works fine, but the plugin also perfectly harmonizes with (good) external cabinet IR's. I'm already curious about the Pro version.
