Squeezer is a flexible general-purpose compressor with side-chain & parallel capabilities.

Squeezer is different from all the compressors I know: its knobs are stepped to fine-tuned preset values, but can be changed to continuous values by clicking a small orange light located next to them. This allows you to find nice settings fast while not preventing optimisation of settings.

Squeezer adapts easily to many tastes and use cases:
  • Feed-forward & feed-back design.
  • Linear, logarithmic & smooth release stage.
  • Optical & FET detectors.
  • Peak & RMS sensing.
  • Hard, medium & soft knee.
  • Flexible side-chain & parallel compression.
It requires a processor which supports the SSE2 instruction set. On Windows systems, you may also have to install the Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2017.

The go-to compressor i was looking for. This thing even as expansion at 0.5/1. The interface is very nice because of the steped or stepless controls. Peak or rms, fet or opto detector. Like Cyber_T said, take the time to read the manual.

This is a real software gem. Many thanks to Martin Suther for his great work of coding a freeware-VST on highest broadcast-level! For maximum success (and fun), you should read the long and detailed manual very carefully. I would pay for it...
