Transient is an envelope shaper.

There are two great transient- design- plugins: This one and the other one from "sleepy times". I prefer this much more, because of it´s simplicity and a more "in your face sound". What I really DON´T like: It comes with installer instead of an easy dll.(like sleepy times transient). Be careful if you´ll try both of them -> Both are named "transient" from the view of your computer, what maybe creates silly digital conflicts inside your DAW!

A very easily configurable and excellent transient shaper. However, only one star from me because whenever I use it (either the VST2 or VST3 version), it eventually crashes and is also prone to taking out the odd other plugin that it shares an effects chain with. A shame, because it could have been very useful. I'm using it with Mixcraft 8 (64-Bit) and Windows 7.

I was gonna pick up the one from waves but came across this plug in and I must say this thing works and I hear a difference in my mixes.
I like the simple effect which I was able to make some drum clips sound more interesting. Very nice installation (of the 64bit Win8) - better than the pro's!!!
