Is there any way to get this working on a 64bit system? I'm getting an error message stating "could not find patchmemory.sem
Oui telecharge le logiciel jbridge pour convertir le version 32bit en 64bit

It doesn't really sound like a Hofner, but it does sound good if you don't expect it to match something in your head exactly. It has a nice amount of punch to help it stay afloat in a mix, and you can pull fatter and warmer tones out of it with a multiband compressor. Annoyances: - "Force" knob appears to work counterintuitively (turning to the right mellows the attack, which would make sense if it was called "Attack", but it's not). Not a huge big deal. - The "correct" octave setting is 2, but the default is 0. You may be very confused until you fix this, but at least it's a trivial fix once you figure it out. - I'd rather have a parametric EQ than a graphic, so I generally use a separate EQ plugin. For example, I often want to bump at 700 and 1.2k, not 800 and 1.6k... Being able to double-click the faders back to neutral is nice though. Here's a track I just posted which uses this bass prominently (I gave it the 50 Hz band instead of the kick drum like normal): https://mal-2.bandcamp.com/track/magnitoria

Not the most realistic bass vst out there, but its definitely usable, and violin basses are just really cool
Ableton can't find it in de customfolder
It's 32 bit only. Won't show up in 64 bit DAW.
How I wish it was 64bits...
Use a bridger like jBridge to force 32bit onto 64bit daws

Good one I love it

I own a Hofner bass, and as this one here is def artificial, it has many settings that are useful, and I am grateful to have it in my library.

WOW!! Nice Bass!!

Sounds pretty artificial. It's not completely useless for me, as it can be used for songs where I would want a more synthetic sound, such as songs inspired in old video game music, but other than that, meh. There are much better free options out there.

Grrrreat!

I own a Hofner Ignition Club Bass, and was just curious how this plugin might compare. I'll admit that I was a bit apprehensive at first, but with its easy to use features, I dialed-in a tone that is very, very close. It's a really terrific simulation, somewhere between authentic and synthetic. Since the Club Bass is a beast to keep in tune, I'm sure this little gem will come in handy at some point down the road. But as it stands right now, I'll just keep it in my bag o'tricks.

I'm a producer and a bassist. I HATE programmed bass. I was given a metal track with bass MIDI to mix. Instead of using a gimmicky, grindy bass VSTi typical of this genre, I chose the FabBass. It provides a smooth, consistent low end and a neutral tone. Amazing note articulation, without the obviously fake finger/pick attack. Process it with your own amp simulators and it will sound great. I recommend a SansAmp into an Ampeg SVT. Thi

Thank you for this vst, is so useful for me, so far. Adding more layers will be worth it. I use it with a compressor and flanger.
Very pleasant

How to get the Beatles sound importing midi files (e.g. into fl studio): 1 Up two octaves. 2 Switch down the "tone color".

No authentic or deep warm bass sound, sry unusable for me.
Really good. Exactly what I needed. Thanks.

Muito obrigado pelo VST! Este site é maravilhoso.
Amazing sound. easy to use. The best so far.
Doesn't it exist for mac? anyone knows if there's another viola Hofner bass vst? Thanks a lot.

Anyone knows why my Cubase 5 shows an error that says that this VST won't produce sound because the mono outputs? I have had that problem with another Samsara Cycle VST.

Good, but requires a lot of messing around with the controls to get it blending nicely. There seems to be an issue with the sustain where it too easily causes notes to crash into each other. I got round this by lowering sustain so there was no crashing and applying a compressor.

Love it :>

Sounds a bit monotonous - too few layers, no round robins. Doesn't sound realistic, but maybe good enough for electronic music when processed.

Very nice... I like it.

Yah, this is cool man! Sounds real Höfner-like. Best Freeware Bass guitar I heard. Very powerful in the mixes. It's interesting that a replica of a 60s Bass sounds still that awsome these days...
Samsara plugins are very well rated. Sadly, they are the only plugins in the site that don't work on my Bitwig Studio.

This is actually the very first bass vst which sounds actually like a real bass WOW. I`m a bassist and so I can judge I guess ;-) This is the best free bass vst I could find until now.

I'm surprised to see no previous ratings or comments --- this is one awesome bass guitar vst.
