Marimbaphonic is a sampled marimba.
It contains 122 samples from the University of Iowa Electronic Music Studios public domain library. Samples are organized in two layers for more expressivity and are gently spread in stereo through the keyboard.

Ii installed it and i says in the fl studio 21 that it could not find instruments, what am I supposed to do??
For the first time ever using a PC and my DAW and any plugin, there's a random intense static FX noise that plays when I'm keying in the notes just playing a regular melody. Idk if that's intentional or a glitch but one thing I do know is it's fxcking annoying/triggering. Does anyone else get a random static rush sound when using this???

This vst is amazing but I had a upgrade on my studio and now it does not work wiht my Logic on my MacBook m1 because is not updating yet I will appreciate if you can update.

Pretty good, but after I close my FL Studio project while saved, the parameters I changed get reverted back when opening it again.

Used to work great, but now it just crashes Reaper every time I open it - I'm on a Mac Big Sur 11.6.4, if that's of any use. BTW, I've tried both the AU and the VST, both crash everything. I've given 4/5 as it worked no problem before, but now it doesn't, which means it's difficult to asses really.

Yo despues de probar mucho lo hice funcionar en REaper! pegue: el .ddl y la carpeta que contiene el archivo .MSE en mi carpeta de plugins (que no es la de reaper por defecto), cerre Reaper, lo abri reescan y listo
It doensn't work for me. I dragged the .dll file into my plugin folder for Fl Studio, I b opened the app and scannedfor new plugins so it would appear on the left side and it did. But when I tried to open it it said: cannot find any instruments.

Il faut copier le dossier Marimbaphonic dans VstPlugins et non seulement le fichier .dll. Car effectivement l'instrument doit être au meme endroit que le .dll
Put the main folder that contains the .dll file and another folder which has an .mse file, into your vst folder, not only the .dll, but the folder with the .mse file as well. good luck!

Same problem - no instruments found. Copied all folders, dlls and .mse files and folders to well beyond normal and still no luck.
I was able to download this app on my Mac and have the computer recognize it. However, in my Logic it said that the plugin could not be opened. Any one know how to fix this or is there an update to this plugin?

You're going to want to go to plugin settings and add the plugin. Then add the vst to the channel rack.

Wow. This is stupid good sounding. This is surprising for a free download. Outstanding audio quality, and nice controls for nuance. The reverb isn't super necessary, but nice if you want to dial it in from the instrument plugin vs an effects plugin.

Guys...this is a VST Instrument that comes without an Installer.
DON'T drag and drop or open this directly with FL Studio, as FL uses and searches Zip for Project Files. Simply extract the contained .dll and the folder into your VST Folder. (Usually somewhere on your System Drive)
Does this plugin work in Logic, have placed unzipped files in plugins library (components and VST) but no joy. It isn't listed in Logic.
When I install the plugin to FL Studio, it doesn't make any sound. How do you fix that?

This is just not working for me for fl studio. Do i put the zipped file into the vst folder? Cuz when i open the zipped i get a piece of paper icon on my mac and it doesnt work either when i put that into the folder and i dont have a .dll file or a .mse file so i dont know how to do this

just copy the .dll file into your VST folder (look up which it is in the manage plugins option in fl studio if you don't know) and click on "find plugins" in the plugin manager, it should then be orange highlighted and you can click on it and choose "favorite" on the left side. then it sould appear in your regular plugin list.

Who have a problems. Put all content into DEFAULT vst folder of your DAW.

Does not work in Fl Studio 20 (64bit)? I paste the .vst to the right folder, but i dont know what to do with the .mse file... Can anyone help me or just leave that idea?
drag the whole Marimbaphonics.instruments folder(the folder containing the .mse file) into the same folder that you put the dll)

I have problems opening and installing the library with my mac 10.8.5. Any tips please?
OK, here's a how to install in mac for corks like myself. It may help others. Download "Mac OS VST" and put the file on "Library - Audio - Plugins - VST". Then, download "Mac AU" and put the file on "Library - Audio - Plugins - Components". Now my Mac can see it. THANK YOU ALAN, GREAT PLUGIN!!!

How did you get it to work with Reaper? I put the .dll and folder after unzip into the Reaper plugins folder, but it does not show up in Reaper. What am I doing wrong? Thanks much
Reaper sees the plugin for me, but doesn't find any instruments, even though I've put the entire folder, the dll and the .mse file and folder there.

Very fine ! It's working on both iMac and MBP, but only in Audio Unit ! The VST makes white windows all around the screen ! And it's impossible to close them... But the AU is fine ! Thank you !

This crashes LMMS. If I use it in a file the file won't load.
It doens't work. Use new magix premium 2016. Other vst are working.. but only this vst doesn't work. The data incl. only a .dll data x_X; and one .mse

Hey, I am able to load the .vst in Cakewalk Sonor X3 but I only have one preset, the drop-down and increment button don't do anything. I am stumped, please let me know if there's anything I can try. Btw, I setting this up for my 12 year old son so he can practice scales for marimba for school band. He will use a K-Board, it's a little small but besides that it works very well.

It should work... Be sure to download the 64 bit version and check in your Ableton manual the good path to install it.

Hi. I have a problem. I just downloaded the vst for mac. There is only an .mse file and a mscr. file. When i put them into my vst folder, and refresh my plugin list, nothing happens. Can you help me?
You should extract the whole archive in your vst directory. There is no dll on mac but a "marimbaphonic.vst" folder.
I have extracted everything - there is a content folder, which i've put in the vst folder, but still nothing happens. Can you tell me what i am doing wrong? :)
I have the same problem. I`ve downloaded other plugin to use in Fl Studio 12 and it was rar-ed and when I unrared it, in the folder were only the .mse extention files. How to I open them, the Fl Studio can`t read them like this. Thanks.

Extract the zip file in your vst folder and keep the extracted files and folder exactly the way it is organized. It says "cannot load instrument" because it can't find the .mse file.

Sound is awesome, but I'm havin trouble with reverb, I want to remove reverb, but everytime i play te song in REAPER, the plugin boosts reverb to THE MAX. I move it down again, but EVERYTIME I press pIay, reverb is back...
The reverb level might recorded be in your midi track (frenquent with midifiles). Look for CC91 and erase all data.

Making instruments from public domain samples and give it free is a good idea. But there are clicks at the end of samples. No matter how you turn release-knob. It`s very annoying to hear them, I have to remove them manually after bounce. But who cares, freebies always have its deficiencies. Thank you anyway.
Hi, samples comes 100% with no clicks, I edited them all one by one with a great care. I have then done some test with the plug-in and it reveals no clicks at all. There is maybe a lack of memory from your system causing clicks...
Alan, i trust you, proper sampling is a hard work. But please try to test it with sample rate higher than 44.1 kHz.
