DVS Drum Sampler is designed for quick and simple drum programming.
You can load any length 16bit wav file into the channels, you can preview the sound by clicking the keyboard on the interface, MIDI keys are C1 to C2.

It's basic and barebones, which thankfully is reflected in its very low CPU usage. Nothing noteworthy, but it does the job if you don't need much.

The initial kit sound that it uses actually sounds pretty good but when i tried to load up a new sound it instantly made my DAW crash.
It will crash if the sounds you load in aren't 16-bit. I accidentally loaded a 24 bit sample in and it crashed. You just need to convert your files to 16 bit and it will work fine.

I really love this VST and I use it very often in Reaper. Three things would really put this baby over the top for my purposes (not that I'm complaining): 1: EQ on the channels. 2: On/Off buttons for each channel (although you can pull the volumes down - but then you have to remember the mix. Another way around is to make a blank wav file and load it when you don't want to use a channel... that leaves the settings intact). 3: A way to identify what .wav file is loaded per channel after loading it. I haven't seen a way to do this. Once you load a channel, you have to remember which file you loaded. I am grateful for this VST and really appreciate the makers putting it together (for free :). Great!
