String Theory - free Plucked string plugin
String Theory is a Physical Modeling Plucked Strings synth with dual phrase arpeggiators.

Each arp has its own speed, gate, and octave controls; which allows for far more complex patterns than the average arp and can also help better simulate guitar finger picking.

This is clearly one outstanding plug in. The downside of it is that, even today it is CPU hungry. However, the sound this thing can produce, is beyond words. It is top class sound. I use only presets, this is too difficult to program, I may tweak here and there but mostly just leave it as it is. Again, amazing sound.

Getting this again after years to try out. Some of these older offerings are great. Thanks UGO.

I used many Ugo plugs back in the day, still useful like Rez 2. But sadly Ugo disappeared when Apple bought Camel Audio

Discovered this on Computer Music CD "special" before I had an Internet connection. This is one of the few synths that responds to MIDI CC's especially for the oscillators. It could do really mean LOUD rhythms played alongside humdrum rhythm boxes! I admit putting off using it for a long time but it's my fault because I have too many plug-ins. Really should use it more often, haven't exhausted its supply of presets yet. I'd like to ask the author though, what *really* does the "UGO" button do?

Intelligence and creativity at work, this gentleman knows what he wants to get from ones & zeroes, I hope he does not sell his knowhow to some big plugins company, he also understands a great deal about modern production, his music is very modern but personalized in a tasty & esthetic manner, compliments in every respect.

Well if you are smart enough to know how to set the arpeggiator off, then it can in fact provide some real nice tones to work with!

This is a vst that has good potential if you are creative in your use, I could see some people like the guy who said it was just an arpeggiator would not like it so much but i do !!!!

It's really an arpeggiator, but it also makes some 'plinky', plucked kind of sounds. I keep it around, just in case I ever figure-out a use for it.
