FreeFall v2 is a hybrid delay effect / pitch shifter.

A variable buffer block is captured and modulated by a 11x12 matrix. A combination of tune, size and gap modulations are the core of this effect.

LFOs:
  • SHAPE: Waveform shape.
  • PHASE: Phase shift.
  • STP / PW: STP=add steps to waveform, PW=When PULSE is selected.
  • MODE: SPEED mode.
  • SMTH: Smooth the waveform, Soft and Hard.

TRACKER:
  • FRQ: Frequency.
  • WIDTH: Selectivity.
  • THRSHLD: Threshold.
  • ATCK: Attack.
  • REL: Release.
  • MON: Filetered signal monitoring.

RANDOM :
  • RATE / MODE: Density / BPM / BPM ratio / Hz.
  • MODE: NOISE / S&H / SPRING.
  • SMTH: Smooth the wave.

JSTICK :
  • Assignable through the matrix.
  • Text field allow direct input.

DELAY/SHIFTER :
  • OCTAVE: Octave tuner.
  • SEMI: Semitone/Cent tuner.
  • X = cross modulation from the matrix.
  • SMPL: size length.
  • GAP: gap length.
  • MODE: BPM or ms.
  • ENVelope: Sine, Rectified sine, Trapez.
  • FRZ: Freeze the current sample block.
  • FDBCK: Feedback.
  • SHIFT: L/R phase shift.

VCF:
  • CUT: cut-off frequency.
  • RES: resonance.
  • MIX: Dry/Wet.
  • MODE: TYPE + dB + Model.
  • BF/AF: POSITION.

MISC:
  • SYNC: Synchronize all oscillators.
  • INPUT: input adjustement.

This thing is great for glitching up percussion loops.

This is a wild, confusing plugin that I love. I never completely mastered the dials, but that's okay. It is great for adding incoherent, unpredictable reactions to noisey projects. On some settings I've managed to create a de-tuned distortion effect. Another I made takes a fraction of audio and plays it at random intervals in a sort of ghostly swell. Strange.
