The Anvil is a digital emulation of a 3 channels tube preamplifier for guitar.
It has been developed to accurately model its real hardware counterpart, designed by Andy Zeugs. The Anvil has three completely independent channels, with different signal paths and separate tonestack controls, to maximize its versatility.
The Anvil is meant to be used as a guitar preamplifier for live playing and jamming, tracking or mixing inside hosts capable of VST or AU Plug-Ins support.

- The Clean channel is inspired by the classic Californian circuits and provides crystal clear tones even at high gain settings.
- The Rhythm channel has a hot-rodded British character, varying from mild crunch to hi-gain distortion.
- The Lead channel provides super-tight metal tones, retaining accuracy and responsiveness even at very high gain settings.

The best tube preamp emulator on this site. Wow. Adds a lot of harmonic sparkle and smoothness. Very scooped tone to clean channel. Can't live without it for acoustic guitar tracks now. Well done, developers.

It sounds great. I used to use this one and the other ones by them like soft tube and stuff. once I used guitar rig 6 I was hooked. The dynamics of sound and playing harder having a great effect in a real way. This one sounds good clean and the distortion sounds good too. Like I said guitar rig 6 is great and guitar rig 7 is the best free plugin for guitar. Needs distortion. I love the big stuff fuzz pedal

Too good to be free!
Is it good for vocal mixing?
It was meant for guitars, but the plugin police wont stop you from experimenting with it on vocals. Prob wanna keep the gain down for that purpose

Superb tone. Great on CPU. It's no wonder Ignite Amps has such a good reputation.

My favourite amp. 3 good channels whit independent volumes. Any kind of tone. Good metal tones and low noise when you raise the gain. Love it!

This is a fantastic guitar amp plugin. It works for bass, too. I've been using it on my miked acoustic guitar through the clean setting, and it gives it so much clarity and good tone. Highly recommend.

Thank you for great work!!! I'm think this is best plugin for very low tuning guitar (I'm tried many-many plugins)! Midrange are amazing, but for lows I must make send with saturator and eq. If you'll fix it in new version it'll be perfect, thank you!!!
