This is a cool plugin, but it doesn't allow the saving of song compositions. Everything stops, a pop-up window states "evaluation only" & my DAW crashes. Is there an OLDER version of this simple plugin? One that doesn't do this?

That's because it's a 32 bit plugin. You need a bridge such as 32 Lives to make it work

This is probably one of the best 8bit synth that you can find for free. For Mac users, there's actually an AU version. It's not linked here but you can google it, and you'll find it very easily.
