Le456 is a preamp sim roughly based on a famous German gear.
Bottom and bright switches can be used to boost the low and the high frequencies respectively.
On the low gain channel only (Clean/Crunch), the effectiveness of the bright switch decreases with the gain settings.
- 2 channels
- 2 modes per channel.

I have downloaded LePou 456 and when I try to put it on my VST audio library, it says "The operation can’t be completed because “Le456.vst” needs to be downloaded". What can I do?

I've been testing alot of amp sims lately and really like this 1 so far. I run it with the ignite nadir loader and the ignite TPA-1 power amp. 1 thing that I like about the ENGL based amp is it has this nice almost 5150/6505 bite to it but with a slightly meatier growl. Its hard to describe but if you A/B this and the Vadim Taranov 5150 they both sound great but I like this a little bit more. Idk how to describe, kind of reminds me of a 5150 with a little marshall chunkiness blended in. Running it with Reaper and I would definitely recommend it to anyone.
Does this work in ableton 11?
Yes
Alguien me puede ayudar?... No consigo ejecutar el amp, realizo la descarga pero solo veo .dll
Los dll hay que moverlos a la carpeta donde cargas habitualmente los plugin VST.
hello, how exactly can i get to use this? i downloaded the file but i can't find it in FL studio 20 no matter what i do, can some one help me
You are supossed to search for it as an FX for a track
how do i install it in fl studio

I actually use ENGL hardware and I will say that this sim comes seriously close to the real thing. No exaggeration, this is a hell of a sim.

One of the best Engl amp simulators out there. Spot on sound!
Is the AU 64 bit? I've got it validated in LPX and "Allowed" in my security settings but I'm not getting anything in my sub menus when I go to insert on a channel strip.
Yea! I having the same problem!
hey, i've dragged the AU files to my plugins folder but still cannot access anything in logic. anyone have any ideas on how to figure this out?
Are you running an M1 chip with Big Sur? I just upgraded from a 2019 MBP with an Intel Chip and have the same problem.
Amp sim won't let me install
I installed the plugin in components folder on mac, and not any daw can "see" the plugin. Any ideas?
Me too.
Sometimes it won't recognize it until the DAW is closed and the computer has been restarted. Once its done, you have to open the security window within the Mac settings because the Mac will initially block the download as it won't recognize it, you then have to select open anyway
I'm trying to installing, when I unzip the macAU file to the component folder it said me error the file is corrupted. I have same problem with many of the plugins in this site... i know the anvil and nrr1 works only with intel mac (i have an nvidia) does all this plugins not work for same reason? please help me!

This plugin is the BEST FREE preamp sim you'll ever find! Might be the best free or paid. This is especially because of how versatile is. Not only do you have 4 modes, but each channel gets extra tone knobs (contour, bottom, bright, focus). These knobs give you tone shaping capabilities to dial in virtually every tone. For example, it is known for its great high gain tones and amazing clean channel, but if you turn it to crunch, crank the gain and input volume you can get great classic blues/rock tones with the contour knobs adjusted(the more you go left, the more vintage/mid focused a sound you get, and the more you go the right the more scooped, modern voicing you get. Amazing, but overlooked. I just wanted to shed light on that a bit. Either way, this free vst unique and unmatched, and I will always keep it in my arsenal. If I had to have only one amp sim, it would be this one (and that says a lot). 5/5
Loving this sim, however I REALLY want to know what these guys are using as their synth. A Sim or a Keyboard?

First of all, this is an amp simulator - you'll need to follow it with a cabinet simulator. If you had to choose just ONE amp, this is it. Everyone should have this plugin in their toolbox. The clean channel (channel B) is crystalline and glassy. It's simply beautiful. Still on the clean channel, switching to crunch mode brings some well controlled and realistic breakup. Outstanding. And on the overdriven channel (channel A) the sky's the limit with gain and dirt.

If you toggle clean and crunch the volume will gradually reduce to nothing - and there is no undo. That problem should be addressed.
You can reset the plugin by adjusting the meter on the far left.

Have all the commercial guitar sims. Yet come back to this amp sim again and again. Its powerful yet fits in the mix every time. The clean channel is great too! Get some quality I.R.'S few cabs, and some amazing results will ensue!
This is awesome, i used it 3xOsc and Fruity Fast LP to make awesome Wobble bass!!

Absolutely great! I've found it's particularly good for a really bright clean channel tone.
Too bad I can't get it to work

Another one of my favorites. Sounds very authentic.

I fuc&ing love this amp sim! Thanks!
Really Nice Clean Sound .. 888

This has the best sounding clean channel of any amp sim I've tried. Just crank the gain until you start to hear distortion, back it off a bit, and you're done. Clear and powerful clean tone that lets the character of the guitar shine through.

Absolutely amazing. I seriously prefer this plugin over even expensive ones, if you are seeking for a good distorted sound, this would solve all of your problems. I'm using This with TSE 808 and lecab2, and the tone is superior.
That's a similar set up to myself. Use the Nidr Impulse loader, delay in the second impulse.I come back to this set up over commercial release. Crazy. Amazing sounds.

The best preamp in the world. Just great as it is.
The clean sound on this one is gorgeous

Great! Great amp plugin and a piece of "art". Thanks LePou for your dedication!
Hey Guys, I need your help. I really love this plugin, but my problem is a humming noise on the High Gain Channel. Sounds not like normal Gain-Noise. I use it in Cubase 8.5. My Signal way ist: TS 808 -- Le456 -- LeCab. Input 11 o'clock output 11 o'clock. Gain Amp 12 o'clock, Ts 808 Gain almost down, Tone left turned, Volume half way up. I can't play without a noise Gate, but this has to set very hard that there is silence. If I put in bevor the Amp Vst it is better but not the normal place for a gate. In the net all the youtube videos shows this (TS808, AMP and Cabsim) no Gate. And no one hase this f...d nois sound. Somone an idea?
just put a noise in the beginning of the chain, I use a free gate called G-Gate, and thats how most people use it with vsts
Anyone have this issue? If I put this plugin in my DAW (Adobe Audition CC), save the session then exit the DAW - ASIO4ALL crashes which then causes the DAW to crash. In addition, upon re-opening the session, none of the previous changes are saved. Try to close the DAW and it crashes again until I remove the plugin.
First I thought the bright tones of this amp would be great for powerful lead tones but then I discovered its very heavy, very dirty sound with death metal rhythm guitars and it totally blew me away. THIS PLUGIN KICKS BUTT!!

Discovered it here and it rocks with the cabinet IR (impulse response).
It't works as intended. Makes sounds more powerful and dirtier (if you need).
Total Crap! Not enough Bottom End and Presence!!!
Are you using a cabinet? If not thats probably why it sounds bad, the vst is only a amp head.

just awesome

I tend to use the Le456 often whenever I need a nice heavy sound with just the right amount of attack. It does the job, so I return to the Le456 again and again.
Great plugin! :D

It works great.. thanks

One of my favorite amp sim. Probably because I can get fast and easily a good sound for rock or heavy and it isn't bad choice for other genres.

does it justice
