It's just great it requires a bit gate and some tweaking but once you find the right spot it flips the guitar

Don´t make it too distorted but don´t be shy to tweak the tone- control to the min or max: Then you can create a decent muff- style sound. And don´t forget it´s free...
...my additional Tipp: Set a levelcontrol-plugin before(!) MuffFuzz-VST and try to experiment with really low input-levels (e.g. -20db and less)and higher settings of this BigM*ff-Clone. You can reach impressing results especially in combination with ampsims. Love it!

I used this straight into Mixcraft 8 and my sound just running through a Focusrite Scarlett and using headphones. With the controls simply set at noon and filter to the right I get a fuzzy raspy noise which is superb. Just let your notes ring out and the sound is good!
You do not need a noise gate in my opinion, yes there is a bit of hiss but once you start playing you do not hear that and besides a bit of hiss adds to the tone :)
Of course you need a noise gate in front of it but with the proper adjustments DAMN good sound. Layer with another amp ect. zoom.

Too much noise. Too simplistic.
