So, first of all, this synth has buggy note allocation / note stealing. Meaning that, if you use it polyphonically with long release times, some notes will get cut out before they normally should. So one should be listen carefully when doing pads, and perhaps use multiple instances to manage polyphony more effectively. That said, this synth sounds good. It was built on the engine of TAL-U-No-62, and greatly enhances it. There's two versions of Elek7ro, characterized by their GUI color. The black one is the earlier one (Elek7ro I) and the blue one is newer (Elek7ro II). They both have some distinct differences, particularly in the filter. In fact, some productions, I actually layered both versions loading the same patch, to give me super deep/fat sounds. I've used it since 2009, back then I had no clue how to make my own sounds, but I knew it sounded great. And today, it still holds up and can sound super warm. It's just a shame about the polyphony issues. In case you want something even better, the newer (and still free) TAL-NoiseMaker is a direct successor of Elek7ro, and solved the polyphony issue while being even more capable. Though it is not patch-compatible.

Too much programmability for me. I tinker and tinker and end up with weird sounds. Looks simple but I wouldn't recommend it for noobs.

You can tell that they built NoiseMaker off of this, and while that synth can do a lot more, Elek7ro has much more impressive, rich sounds. The basses it can produce are amazing.

I agree, rich, fat sounds, Nord-like.

Comme tout le monde l'a déjà dit, les basses sont excellentes. Le reste beaucoup moins...sauf être fan de techno et dérivés.

This is the one plugin I swear by for sub bass! I have all the fancy synths like massive and serum and they don't even compare to this guy for sub. Easy 5 out of 5. Just be ready to tame it with some eq and some OTT. With the OTT, I recommend keeping the Time knob all the way to the left and the up and down compression almost all the way to the left. A little of each goes a long way.

For a basic soft Synth this is amazing, deep phat basses, 808s, drums, Fx. leads , pads you name it ........ and again as others have said, there is some serious bass low end going on in this little beauty. I compared it with some bought VSTS this morning and it is as least as good as some, and way better than others. I honestly forgot how great this thing is, I've been using TAL Noisemaker a lot recently ......... and even that is not as good as Elec7ro at wobbly basses. 5 Stars easy

Does anyone have difficulty installing on Mac? Ive dropped the component and vst in their folders but logic does not detect the plugin.

They stopped supporting these free plugins a while ago. It's probably 32 bit :/

Beautiful. I love both the sound and the look. The 18db filter is iffy, but TAL added the 24 and now it rocks. With the subosc, makes it one of the best 32 or 64 freeby for bass.
