SIR is a reverb device that works with impulse responses.
Impulse responses are generated by recording short, broadband signals and their corresponding room-reflections.

- Works with a fixed latency of 8960 samples (possibly compensated by VST-Host)
- You can adjust predelay, attack-time, length and stereo width of the impulse response
- Stretch (up & downsampling of impulse response)
- FFT EQ (to adjust the frequency spectrum of the impulse-response)
- Auto Gain (automatic volume compensation)
- Dynamic CPU Consumption (use only the CPU power that is needed to get the result)

This IR plugin is among the best to be sure. It's better and easier to use than some of the newest one's. It's compatible with Audacity.

Great Plugin :-) easy 2 use with so much variation & Quality! I really like the way it handles impulse responses, the menu is a nice feature to audition your IRs, not all IR loaders have this option. Thumbs up for this little gem :-)

Great one amongst many tools to make music, adding some weird IR and layering multiple SIR can sure activate the MUZE to create out of this World musics, may be I"ll buy SIR 2, because this one convinced me about convolution FX.

Excellent. Convolution reverb is great to create a real space. Color tracks with other 'verbs, combine em in one space with convolution.

Hasn't crashed on me, and I use it whenever I want to create a "real" space. The HUGE selection of impulses is a definite plus.

Great quality sound with a nerve-breakin' fixed big latency...H.Seib's Host can fix it a little, but no miracles. The best way to use it is with a good virtual pipe organ and ambient pads or to the final mix after playing. SIR2 is the best there is but it's not FREE...
