OverHeat emulates the warm, harmonically-rich sound of analog saturation.
It is designed to add depth, warmth, and character to digital audio recordings by replicating the natural distortion and compression that occurs when analog signals are pushed to their limits.
With its intuitive interface, OverHeat is easy to use and offers a range of customizable parameters, such as input and output gain, saturation level, and tone shaping controls. You can use it to add subtle coloration to individual tracks or to create full-bodied analog warmth across an entire mix.
This analog saturation is suitable for a wide range of music genres and can be used on vocals, drums, guitars, bass, and synths, among others. Whether you're looking to add vintage vibe to your recordings or want to achieve a more cohesive and polished sound, this plugin is a must-have tool for any music producer or engineer.
In addition to its audio processing capabilities, OverHeat is also optimized for low CPU usage, allowing it to be used on multiple tracks and even on a master bus without causing any performance issues. Its lightweight design makes it suitable for use on any digital audio workstation, including Logic Pro, Reaper, Ableton Live, and Cubase, among others.
Whether you're working on a new song, a film score, a podcast, or a commercial, this plugin can help you take your audio to the next level and give your recordings the warmth, richness, and depth they deserve.
OverHeat is modeled to emulate tube saturation principles wich usually ads offset before non-linear processing. It creates a more realistic and natural-sounding saturation effect. By modeling the harmonic content of the signal before it undergoes non-linear processing, the plugin is able to add harmonics in a more musical and pleasing way, enhancing the overall character and tonal quality of the sound. This results in a more expressive and dynamic sound that can add warmth, depth, and interest to digital recordings.

The color knob is crazy for bass

I like it
I get the "computer says no" blue window when I try to install. It's a shame because I have their 808 emulation VST and it works very nicely.

I’m not sure if the world needs another tube emulation but it sure doesn’t hurt. Choice is always good, especially when it’s great quality like this. There really isn’t much to this effect so it’s very intuitive: pre-gain, drive, post gain, color, and low pass. It’s very easy to dial in a preferred tube-type warmth. What does it sound like? It has a natural sound if used in a prudent manner, although it can go from smooth to the fuzzy grunge of an old tube amp begging for mercy by simply using the color dial. On the other hand, I can’t think of a pre-amp it emulates although it sort of sounds like a cross between the H.H. Scott and the Voice-of-Music (remember them?) tube pre. You get the picture, it does it’s own thing and sounds great from tame to flame. The low pass dial is handy for quickly subtracting high-end from a signal if that’s what you need. The pre-drive sets the amount of gain going into the front end so the effect itself is not over-driven. The drive dial does what it says – it adds more or less of the tube coloration you choose from the color dial and increases it to quite an inarticulate smear if driven really hard. And of course, the post-gain dial is basically the output volume. For superior tube-like sounds it definitely gives you a little bit more of what you’re looking for. This is a wonderful although somewhat individual sounding tube- type pre and should be part of your recording engineer toolbox. Powerful.
Only Thing Missing is the BLEND -knob.

This this is fantastic and easy to use. Great for softening the edge of tracks to make them fit better.

It's great good freeware saturation plugin for master mix buss mixdowns to dynamic glue all the music multitasking productions and polished gluing together to finish mixing and mastering.
