This is good. I wish it had stereo output though.

The GUI is a little bit toyish but the sound is absolutly top-notch - if you are in metal. The tone and sensitivity is on par with the stuff of N**ra*l DSP and that's why the GUI may look a bit strange ;) I definitely recommend an input of max -12dB (or less) and a noise-gate in front of Goblyn. Thanks to the dveloper!

... what I forgot: I almost use my favorite external IRs (with NadIR), although the internal IRs are pretty good.

A bit underwhelming for me: it's fuzzier than other 5150 emulations, sometimes it crashes in fl studio, the standalone installation always gives some error (even though it works), it's less versatile than similar counterparts since it's only good for high gain stuff. But it's free, so... Anyway, a v.1.1 would be very much appreciated, maybe with a better installer and improved graphics.

It sounds good indeed, however it spikes up my CPU from 1 to 50 which is just not acceptable. I'm sorry but it is not possible to be used in a long term.

This will not install. Says ' 1.0 installGoblyn1.cab has an invalid digital signature. May indicates cabinet file is corrupt' Any ideas? It's something to do with the digital signature - or countersignatures I have only found. What certificate do I now need, and from where?

The best sounding free metal amp sim I've ever heard. The built-in IRs are not the best, but if you use an IR loader afterwards with your own IRs you can hear what this thing is really capable of! The feel and response is better than most paid-for amp sims, and up there with Aurora's Mr. Hector and Neural DSP's plug-ins.

If you need a no-hassle metal tone, this is it right here. My only complaint is that the GUI is vertical instead of horizontal, but since I'm not fiddling with settings every 2 seconds it's a non-issue.

Simple, but good sounding high-gain-amp plugin. Nice British voiced hot-rod tones, with excellent dynamic reaction and authentic, intense harmonics, which means, the typical, aggressive, straightforward High-Gain / Metal tone, which you expect from this amp type. Tone controls work very, very intense, especially High, for my taste already too intense, also sounding too distorted and shrill at higher settings, but as long as you use them rather decently, which means, somewhere around middle position, you can adjust a lot of really good, convincing sounds. The IR's I did not find so convincing, but they do their job for some quick results, but my favorite external IR's gave me better results, so it is good that the IR section can be deactivated too. More than enough gain reserves, even with a Telecaster you have more gain reserves left than you probably will need, with a Les Paul or Power Strat anyway. That also a standalone version can be installed is a good idea.
