Yumbu 3 is a slot driven drum sampler with lightning speed drum-kits loading and fast one stage control, fitted for live usage, with better control,  both mp3 and wav. format support, fast workflow and only 0.5 sec. loading times for new core kit.

Yumbu 3 uses 10 (.wav, mp3) file sample slots to build 10 drum components drum-kits. According to this approach, every slot can be anything, from kicks to snares or cymbals or you name it. Each slot is triggered by its own unique midi note which noted on its slot button. For instance, slot 48 is triggered by note number 48 in the midi keyboard (c2). The samples menu is divided into 14 categories, including a wide range of drum-kit components types. Yumbu 3 comes with 30 full drum-kits to start with. It's perfect for sketching or producing most common classic genres drum tracks like disco, R&B, soul, hip hop, rock, pop, reggae and many more with carefully crafted samples that sit great in the mix and a reasonable drum library size that won't choke your hard drive.

?Every page of the 10 pages in Yumbu 3 refers to each of the selected drum components and is actually a full mixer page. It provides most of the traditional features per drum element that a producer might need and some exclusive features that you will not find even in the most expansive drums machines.

You'll find a new sample library manager, pitch control, magnitude control, EQ, saturation, phase control, delay, unique filter, drift effect and even an ability to morph the drum elements with other elements in the library.

Yumbu 3 is also armed with 3 master effects (compressor, reverb, delay) with a unique effect called "F.R" which allows full scale frequency control over the wet signal. You can use the effect by sending a fx amount from the "master fx" slider on every channel.

Yumbu 3 loads drumkits extremely fast, only 0.5 sec for full loading, and uses a “one button press” preset manager which allows a super-fast presets switching by midi assignable buttons. It can set sample" start and "sample end" points with midi assignable knobs and it also allows you to tweak the active keyboard's octaves starting points. Yumbu 3 uses 24 presets drumkit banks. Each preset represents a full drumkit containing all the components and settings.

Yumbu 3 is armed with a morphing system which can blend any 2 drum elements together (which can create tons of new fresh drum sounds). The morph system can also play with the blended element's pitch and increase the invention of new drum sounds like never before.

Each channel in Yumbu 3 is armed with dedicated modulation effects which allow adding beautiful nuances and textures to each drum element separately. There is a yowling phaser effect, a delay and the new Zelda filter which can completely change the audio materials native character and morph it into a new interesting sound

I haven't tried this, but, having tried many "drum machine" plugs, they look great to have on your screen if you want to impress, like, your aunt or someone with the cool way they look on your screen, but that's about the only use for them. When some dev finally gets the bright idea of making a vst drum machine WHICH WILL ACTUALLY PRINT TO A TRACK, newsflash me.

I would reply something right now, (smart ofc), but man, this is becoming like facebook, I need notifications for comments, otherwise won't solve anything.

As a drum machine, it's fine. However you will need to use your own samples, as the ones that come with this are, well, not good. Many of them have audible pops at the end. I went through three instruments - Kick, HH, Snare and the following have pops at the end (asterisk indicates REALLY BAD): KICK - 1,20,21,22,24. HH - 1,2,7*, 14, 16*, 22*,24*,29,30*. Snare - 4. I really like what it does as a drum machine - Good Job! It's not the most attractive UI, but it does do a number of cool things, and it is very fast. But the samples? Untrustworthy crap. So this gets a sub par rating from the Dr Tonka Institute of VST Testing.

Working fine in Cantabile Lite on my old Win 7 laptop. Haven't come across any CPU problems yet. A good plugin.

The cpu is just fine. Only 2.3% with entire 20 individual channels connected separately. It might affect cpu if you use some kinda pentium 2 computer with 512 megabyte ram. This sampler is just fine for everyday usage and workflow is Admirably efficient. The only drawback is that this tool is not a spectacular eye candy, but I can live with that. Nice release.

It affects CPU heavily. Both VST3 and VST2 (64 versions) give you 100% CPU, which is very bizzare for this simple drum-machine/rompler. Tested in Soundbridge DAW.
