It features a total of 40 kits for various music genres. There are 320 sounds in total, including kicks, snares, claps, toms, hi-hats (closed & open), percussion, cymbals, fx, and more.

The plugin sports a compact and easy-to-use interface with global controls (gain, lowpass filter, room reverb), individual controls per sample (gain, attack, pan, stereo channel output), and an 8-pad configuration. The samples are conveniently mapped from C1 to G1.

Most of the samples were made with 2 hardware analog drum machines ran through Radial JDI direct box, Warm Audio ToneBeast Black, and Antelope Audio Discrete 4 Synergy Core audio interface. For the acoustic drum kits, drum modeling software and a mass amount of effect plugins were used.

Drum8 is available as a VST/VST3 plugin for Windows and VST/VST3/AU plugin for macOS (El Capitan to Mojave, NOT compatible with Catalina and up).

Very good plugin, simple to use, varied and you can make some killer drum patterns with it.

Very good drum rompler with classic, retro-oriented sounds: 808-like, 909-like and acoustic kits, similar to the kits from old workstations. I liked its electronic kits - solid, crunchy sound! Great for old-school electro, acid house, retrowave and etc. Very low CPU, because it is a rompler.

Nice design, but absolutly unusable sounds, in special the kicks. Maybe it will come a new version with the following aspect: Bruce Swedien said: "Be sure, that you have recorded right and that every instrument sounds clear and clean." The sounds here on this device are extremly preprocessed. I have no chance to correct that in the mix. Nevertheless, thank you for this uncomplicated user interface!

I am sorry, I can imagine, what you feel, but it is only my opinion. I thought, the more you know about different users, the better you can deside, what to do next.
