TesslaSE mkII is a transformer saturation simulator.
It is not a distortion box but rather focuses on bringing all those subtle saturation and widening (side-) effects from the analog right into the digital domain.
It sligthly colors the sound, polishes transients and creates depth and dimension in the stereo field. All the analog goodness in subtle doses.
It's a mixing effect intended to be used here and there where the mix demands it. It offers a low CPU profile and (almost) zero latency.

This is one of those ones that is so subtle that I'm not sure when I would bother to use it. CPU usage is ok.
FL Studio 20 plugin manager say : missing MSVCR120.dll
Download it, it does that if the plugin was made with C++

People would pay a lot of money for this if it would be from a well known brand..

I find myself using this a lot, esp on the master channel. Makes me wish I wouldn't have bought True Iron, because this is exactly like it, except for the vaguely-named choices of various transformers True Iron has, but which each sound absolutely identical to one another.

Compared to my Folio mixer, I get very similar results. Folio is not the best mixer in the World but is way better than digital when it comes to saturation. Also want to thank the maker for still making 32 bit. We are being forgotten and many of us don't need 64bit system, it's a loss for lot of plugin makers
Pleased to hear I'm not alone in still using x32 bit plugins. Thanks to the guys that are still putting them together, & enabling a choice.
I still use 32bit too
Utmost respect.

He got the transformer perfect, I can't believe it. Put it on kick and see how realistic it is.

I can run both 64 bit and 32bit plugins on my computer... I'm surprised everyone is having problems. I have windows 7 professional and the 64 bit version of LMMS.

Glad someone still makes 32bit plugins. Lot of people use 32bit studio setups, there is no need for 64bit unless you need heaps of memory. Sadly many plugin makers now just go with only 64bit and missing out
Trying to install this in FL just states there was a plugin error. Any tips?

Bootsy is a legend. And with this plugin he totally justified it. I've used a bunch of different saturators, tube emulators, transformer emulators...but what this plugin does to audio is magical. The low end becomes...well, as Boosty puts it - "fancy". On mixbus, the depth, width and even height of the mix is extended. Beautifully so, and you can gain 2 or 3db in volume just with this, so your limiter has to work far less and it really sounds much better than shaving of peaks with a brickwall limiter. Tessla SE mkIi simply rules.
Is it better to mix into from the get go, or just throw it on at the end of your Mix bus processing?
You place it on what ever track needs the treatment as you would with saturation

This reminds me of HG-2 black box and the True Iron, Tessla is great on the master bus. A great tube amp transformer saturation, very very nice.

Great plugin ... Fully matches the description. Read the manual!

I don't know why, but this plugin makes Reaper crash. It's great though, except for that.
It works for me in Reaper very well.

Finally a plugin that really brings color and depth, ssl fusion vintage drive is nothing compared to the TesslaSE mkII

Not just one of the best free transformer saturation plug-ins, but one of the best there is no matter the price point. The oversampling algorithm works so damn well that it's pretty much impossible to get it to alias! It's every bit as good as the ridiculously priced Pulsar Modular P42 Climax, and this is free. Herbert is really a god of free high-end audio DSP (together with Vlad and Fabien from TDR!).

If I understand you correctly; you are complaining about a free plug-in that's made to distort your signal and give you an "analog feel" is introducing noise that's well below the threshold of human hearing? I'm convinced you wouldn't be able to tell if the plug-in outputs 64-bit double precision or 32-bit FP if you didn't have access to a bitmeter. If using 32-bit FP makes it easier for Herbert to update these plug-ins, then great! It's not like you are paying for his time.

Glad to see this guy back. Already know this is going to be good. Thanks for including a 32 bit version.
