Transature is a console transformer simulator with pre-drive circuits.

Custom circuits before transformer. One clean driver stage to drive transformer to get only transformer saturation.
  • 1. Clean driver stage with no character. Will drive transformer and you will get only transformer's saturation.
  • 2. Tube driver stage before transformer. Tube driver stage will drive transformer and get both stages' saturation.
  • 3. Transistor driver stage before transformer. Transistor driver stage will drive transformer and get both stages' saturation.
  • 4. OpAmp driver stage before transformer. OpAmp driver stage will drive transformer and get both stages' saturation.

This can add a subtle color or full-on distortion. Very, very usable. Great stuff!

Not as grungey and fat as FetDrive. More natural. Good for when you want to be crisp and accurate but still a bit warm. Fet Drive is awesome but can be a bit much on some sources. FetDrive will make a vocal dull and nasal and heavy for example whereas Transature will warm a tone up without screwing it up. The 4 pre options makes it flexible without giving you too many options. CPU usage is very reasonable.

Insanely good. Finally there are tools to lift up homerecorded material to "pro quality" from the getgo, at least it lifts you up into the same arena... There's a reason pros use expensive gear, and these AO emulations finally help me understand why. It's actually almost comical how much time you can lose as a beginner trying to digitally compress digital audio, it's just a mess. Crank up a good AO sim, and oh it sounds musical, defined and pleasant :D

Awesome sounding VST, highly recommended. This also holds up against many of the pricey AND not so pricey saturation and warming VSTs.

Shout out to the dude who runs analog obsession, his move to patreon/free/dono Ware was a good move imo. His bug fixing and customer service has been impressive and two new plugins in one week also, love it.
