DirtyFilter is mainly a bandpass filter approximation, but in contrast to conventional filters it is based on a nonlinear algorithm.
Due to this fact the filter behavior is very unusual. It basically sounds like a normal filter, just a bit dirtier ;-) The parameters are also similar to a traditional filter:
Due to this fact the filter behavior is very unusual. It basically sounds like a normal filter, just a bit dirtier ;-) The parameters are also similar to a traditional filter:
- Freq: Filter cutoff frequency, or middle frequency (bandpass).
- Res: Simulation of the filter resonance setting.
- Qual: The filter quality or q-factor is inversely proportional to the be bandwidth.
- Wet: Normal Dry|Wet controller.
- Gain: Output-gain of the plugIn.

Absolutely beautiful sound, wonderful for pinging!! Any chance you'll make a version that goes the full 20Hz to 20kHz?

The "pro" is: This filter- concept sounds really different and interesting. Thanks to REBELAudio! (Maybe) the "con" is: You have to like the special filtersound, which produces a lot of overtones. Sometimes it could be exactly the right choice for your style of sources and sometimes the sound could be a litle bit over the edge. BTW: I like the minimalistic GUI, which is similar to the plugins from V*LH*LL*
