I see no way to run it in FL as a VST (there are no dll files in plugins directories after installing), however standalone version works perfect!
Check the steinberg folder in program files
They go into the standard VST directory: C:Program FilesSteinbergVstPlugins . There's a Sitala.dll in there.

Lite on CPU and easy to use. Switched over to Sitala from Speedrum because it has one or two small things. Can't go wrong with either though. Simple and effective at what it does. Check their website for the 909 downloadable kit.

A great little plugin. There are a couple features that I think are missing, but it does its' job great - just triggering 1-shots and a couple of tweaks on each "pad".

Excellent. VERY easy to use. The shaper function is brilliant, esp. on kicks, so you get the punch but less of the boom. Super easy to save your own kits. I got the Reverb Drum Machine collection and built piles of vintage drum machine kits with this. Working on more "natural" sounding kits now. This is my "go to" drum machine.

Excelllent. It's simple and easy but you have enough tools to edit drums and the plugin shows you what happens to them with curves over the samples. Stability is 100%, no issues so far, CPU consumption is almmost non-existent, you can have more than 20 instances on mid-to-low specs. The only small thing I found I could not get is low-latency reversing with a long sample: I used "reverse sample" but it does not play back at all unless sample start is very early. The sample length is long (4-6 seconds) because of lazy editing. Maybe the sampler stops playing samples after certain length BUT reversing a sample causes it to confuse a late sample start for early and vice versa?

When using samples this is THE BEST tool so far. It's easy to use and works without issues in Reaper on Windows. It really helped me get results faster. It can work standalone so you can create kits outside of your DAW envirmonment. I Use it for LoFi, chillhop, synthwave... basically any kind of music where i want to use drum sample packs instead of other drum-kit vst's

This is THE BEST free sampler / drum machine I've found. No jokes! It has all the features needed without being too clunky or overcomplicated (like NI Kontact / Battery). And it does make my life so much easier! I moved from FL to Reaper. Reaper does not have a built-in user-friendly sampler. Was trying to create my custom-made drum-machine based on ReaSamploMatic5000, but that turned out to be too hard to manipulate. It wa not adding to my creativity with all that interface management. I also start using MIDI loops to speed up my work. And that requires a simple one-channel MIDI track setup that I had to setup manually. I need multitrack outputs to be able to do routing, FX, sidechain and so on. So Sitala helps me with ALL OF THAT. It's just a simple and powerful tool that you load and start to work with. Sitala automatically added extra channels with proper routing, did help to switch MIDI mapping presets (oh yeah, no pain there). It's extremely useful with sample browsing, tweaking settings and presets management. I'd say it fits Reaper so well! I'm sure to stick with it for a long time. Loving it <3
The latest version suddenly uses a lot of CPU when used in FL Studio. I had to rollback to an older version of the VST. Its really good tho but it pisses me with the Latest version's sudden CPU filling

Looks great and plays as standalone, but in Reaper6 it overloads on playing (i.e. +330dB!). I must be doing something wrong?

Really good and enjoyable to use. If this is all I had then i would be set.
So handy to make drums in simplicity. Very useful and quick to use also for things such as playing multiple samples in the same hit. The controls for each pad are suuuuper handy. I wouldn't dislike an output volume knob, but I'm not complaining. Can't believe it's free!

I've tried to install this twice, and on both occasions couldn't locate the .dll file necessary to use it in Reaper. What it does install is a "helper.exe" file which is impossible to delete, therefore making me very suspicious indeed. To get rid of it, I've twice had to go to an earlier restore point on my PC. It's a shame because the stand alone version I was able to access looked very useful. On the subject of drum samplers, it's a shame that MuDrum isn't available as a VST - I'd even pay for it!

Is unusable with Mixcraft 8 and previous versions. The menus are inaccessible, making it impossible to load own samples - which is essential because the existing ones are garbage in that it fails to include toms and decent acoustic drumkit.

Very nice but when I try to reload a patch kit that I made some of them crash the plugin and DAW, but not everyone of them. ???? Frustrating after having set up a whole new kit from samples on my hard drive.

this is a nice drum vst. simple and was esy to Route in Tracn shapinktion 7 and reaper. the only issues i had was sometimes when shaping waveforms it would go to far or not nearly how much you wanted to shape it. it only occurred once in a while and usually after Ive mapped it to my midi controller.
I have used NI battery, AD2, SD3, all i ever wanted from a drum machine VST was this, basically if you add a tweakable envelope (that lets you adjust not ADSR but the tension of them) instead of a shape knob this will be the best lightweight solution on the market. Some other great feature would be a mapping tab, where you can link various things to velocity, like a low pass filter, or pitch. Really nice work.
Warning: installs invasive "update service." Would be an excellent plugin otherwise. Note to developer: this work is too good to ruin with said service, please remove it.
I agree. Since my music computer doesn't have an internet connection, the service didn't start and the install failed. "Er, what service?" I pondered. Having installed on a different computer, I see a "sitalaupdatehelper.exe" is set to autorun from the registry key "HKLMSystemCurrentControlSetServices". That leaves a bad taste in the mouth. I like the simplicity of the software, but I am more than capable of checking for updates myself. Ask us if we want automatic checking, or have the software check when it's used. Don't go sticking a background service in there.

A great simple idea of a GM drum sample player. Can I be cheeky and ask the developer that if another version of this is made, that pan, and/or separate audio outs are added functions? This plugin is as good as the samples you load into it, and has some basic but good waveshaping options. The configurable keyboard mapping lets you set GM or sequential keys for the triggering of each drum sound from a keyboard. Nice idea and really useful for using a real drum machine to trigger the plugin's sounds. Thank you vey much Sitala
Hi! Thanks for the kind words :) The upcoming version of Sitala will finally include a much sought after panning feature. Separate outs do exist already for VST and AU. Access this feature by selecting "Use One Audio Output per Pad" in the 'hamburger' menu. Cheers
