"A Diamond in the Rough" is what I would describe as the DJX10. Its rich preset sounds and clean and intuitive GUI makes this awesome VST an absolute keeper.

I have very mixed feelings about this one but overall I like it. Looks like a lot of controls but you probably won't use most of them. It has kind of a limited tone, very much in the ball park of an electric piano 90% of the time. It reminds me a bit of the tone of my casio HT-3000 but a bit smoother. Not very versatile but there are 1 or 2 nice tones to be had. Think of it as a less authentic, more "synthey" version of your favourite E-piano plugin. Tacky but smooth.
I know it says, "digital subtractive synth" but I actually think this one is a little "too analog". They've done something weird with the voices so that you get weird phase cancellation effects on every 4th note that you play. It's a very authentic, VCO sounding synth but I feel like they've copied some of the issues of dodgy analog synths along with the cool tones. It really needs a velocity control on the amp and keyboard tracking control on the filter. The lower tones are dull, and the upper tones are really harsh. There's just so much going on underneath this simple looking synth and because it behaves in such an idiosyncratic manner, I find it surprisingly difficult to get a useable tone from it. It's potentially one of the best sounding free synths you can get but it's just so tricky to use that I can't recommend it.

Good software, clean interface and fatty sound.

Really good

It would be better if the coarse, semi and fine tuning knobs worked on an already triggered note.
Its a good plugin

Has a couple more features than the DDX10 by the same developer, but still pretty lean while offering interesting sounds. Good as a quick, simple to understand synth.
