VL1 is an emulator of the famous classic Casio synthesizer.
VL1 is not just a sample player, it is a real emulator that emulates the original hardware.

Very good emulation of an extremely crappy synth. It has the perfectly ugly sound of the original. Everything works fine, even the calculator, the ADSR (wich create a sound from a number left in the calculator memory), the ugly rythme box, and the "record" function (you can register about a hundred notes played even slowly, and in "play" mode when pressing "one key play" repetedly, it will play back the registered notes). Very good dedication from Polyvalens to make something as faithful to the original.
It is just missing a x64 version.

Pretty nifty. I like the dirty and used look. : ) sounds very authentic as well. Would be a cool idea to "future-ize" these old keyboards ; ) like take the old concept and look, but add new things like lfo's and ring mod n stuff... or even other new ideas.

Yep, this is the thing, sounds like the real thing (I had it when I was a kid, and sounds like I can recall). The interface is a beauty. If you are wondering "should I download it?" I would say: "DA, DA, DA!"

Bang on! Comparing it to a real one and.. Well the MIDI implementation is a lot better. ;-) Could loose the velocity sensing, and make the drum sounds available (without using the onboard rhythm box) though.

Perfect for the sleng teng !!
Saw this and straight away thinking sleng teng. On the download :)
I also had this VL-1 since i was a kid my father gave it to me as a birthday gift.. And now that i had a daughter i gave it to her and she really love it. She always like to play and dance with its recorded tunes. Anyway, did you know where could i get some of the key notes that she could play?

This is great stuff!!! The original sound used by "TRIO" at "DaDaDa".
I love it. Brings back the good old eighties.

De lo mas increible, suena exactamente igual, me ha servido para samplear temas de tetris y cosas por el estilo.
