The Sonatina Orchestra Module is a complete orchestral instruments rompler.
There are 20 instruments and over 50 articulations including a soloist for every major instrument except the Viola and Double Bass. There are sections for all the important instruments including the Viola and Double Bass. Articulations include Pizzicato for the string sections and Staccato for the strings, brass and flute sections. There is also plenty of percussion along with a piano, harp and choir.

how do i install on Reaper? It's all MSE files and i don't know how to install

Great plugin but none of my vst's work for some reason

Not bad, definitely had it crash my REAPER file at least once. The timbre is good, but the range on the cello is incorrect, the cello can go down to C2 and this one bottoms out at A2. Really frustrating when you want a G#2/Ab2 and it simply doesn't play anything.

Great but sometimes crash

Sounds great, but crashes reaper sometimes
I try opening this in Reaper, but the virtual keyboard image does not show up. The plugin shows up in Reaper (VSTi) but no sound can be made by my midi keyboard controller. How can I fix this?

I've been using it for years. It's simple, free and sounds amazing!

These instruments sounds amazing! I've added orchestral sections in some of my songs and they match perfectly :)

Very moving sounds! I see instruments sounding like this for $$$'s.
Fl Studio видит плагин ее можно добавить в паттерн но флка не видит инструментов, скажите пожалуйста что делать??
Don't know what I am doing wrong. Cannot get Adobe Audition to recognize any Sonatina products.
They're not compatible at all with adobe products...

The flute is amazing, and so is the brass! Two thumbs up!
(5 / 5)
It's just incredible.

The brass is the best part of this plugin imo. It's clean and sounds far more realistic than many other vsts, and I will be using it regularly. Awesome job! Sadly I'm docking a star because the string section is very unrealistic and unpleasant to me. Spitfire LABS does that job much, much better. Overall great plugin, like I said I'll be using this regularly. :) Have a great day!

I used this in my song, and sounds great, definitely one of the best violin plugins for a broke guy like me. Cello and Violin sounds awesome, however the violin sometimes sounds out of tune when I play it in higher octave
(5 / 5)
Really liked it when I used it a while ago. I have other plugins I would use with it now to give it more fullness, like and eq to give it a little more heaviness in sound. It is also great if you have a looper, create a loop and you can keep adding different sounds to it. very fun, just pan a sound to the right, pan a sound to the left one in the middle, it really starts to sound good fast.

Thank you! I LOVE the piano!!
i got instruments as MSE files. What to do ? Pls help me
If you are in windows, you download the 64 bit, then move to selected folder, move it to program files, then move that to vst plugins folder and it should be in your system. You probably need to run a check on your daw for it to show up. That's what I do with Ableton
Plz, can you explain in detailed i am using for fl studio

Mas que música maravilhosa!
cannot find any instrument. help me please
Maize has a slightly odd file structure. You need the Sonatina Orchestra.dll in your base VST directory and a folder called Sonatina Orchestra.instruments which will contain a couple dozen mse files. Usually the VST can't find the mse files when this error occurs. The zip files are created to have the correct file structure. Note I'm assuming you are talking Windows here.

I love this! It works well and saves everything how it was. I use this on lots of projects that I do. It is also very easy to use.
Will this work with a Worlde Panda Mini?
Yes it will definitely work
I just use the sound fonts in Sforzando, haven't had any DAW or Win10 problems at all. Don't know if that helps, but thought I'd just throw it in.

Nice sounds. (Using in Cakewalk 64 bit). But why do all the piano notes play an octave lower than normal? E.g. when I press C4, I hear C3. The workaround, playing an octave too high, produces the pitches I want, but the staff displays them in the upper register. Very disconcerting and hard to read the notation. Is there a way to fix this?
WIN 10 can not run.
Came highly recommended, but I also am coming across the problem of the VST working, but unable to find instruments. I'm using Cakewalk on Windows 10 (64), downloaded the correct version, and have it in its own folder with the .dll file and the .mse file folder (Sonatina Orchestra.instruments) together in the base VST folder for cakewalk. I have tried many common file destinations that my other plugins use, can always open VST, but never find instruments. Was it just not meant to be, or am I overlooking a simple step that will lead to a much deserved face palm? I truly don't know what I'm doing! Eek!
Conseguiu resolver? Estou também com esse problema!
Same thing. Last PC died and now I have to restore all dll-s. Doesn't work with Win10, Reaper. Or I just don't know...
You need to drag thee .dll file AND the folder to the VST folder...
Works flawlessly for me in LMMS: I simply extracted the whole folder into my VstPlugins folder (so there is a folder called "Sonatina_orchestra_Module_-_64" there, in which the dll as well as the .instruments folder is.
Exact same problem been trying 3 hours to fix it
Try extracting the downloaded zip file into the vstPlugin file
I've had the same issue
Love your plugins! Can we have a mac version of this one please?

I'm in love with this VST, it's just beautiful. I love how it sounds. Although I have a problem and I have no idea how to address it. When using the Violins, Cellos, Violas, and other stringed instruments, sometimes it just goes staccato even if I set it to sustain, how do I fix it? Any help is welcome :)
I think it's the Release that you have to adjust to make the tails sound natural
I suggest reloading the plugin, but if it don`t help, then I don`t know.

This is the best free vst, and not because it is the highest quality audio, the sounds are fair but lack something that is hard for me to describe and is easier to adjust myself with audio effects. The reason I think this is the best VST is because I can run 5-10 different instruments at the same time without my CPU screaming at me to tone it down a little.
Very good
I'm using this in Reaper and like it very much - good sounds and straightforward to apply. But there is a problem in that all the string instruments fail to sound the lowest 7 semitones that are available on a real instrument - for instance, B3 down to G3 on a violin. Is there a way around this please?
The answer has emerged - and in case anyone else has the same experience, here it is. It turns out that when I play notes on my Yamaha MIDI keyboard, Reaper records them one octave lower. It may well be possible to correct this within Reaper, but it's easier to simply play one octave higher on the kb. Then, SSO actually provides ranges that go below those of the real instruments.
Dev said this rompler won't work with reaper. Sure it's fine?
Several DAW and plug-in developers use the MIDI name range C-2 to G8. Reaper's default is C-1 to G9, so altering the octave name display offset to -1 will give you names in the range C-2 to G8. I have read that all was "normal" in the music world until Roland and others invented a new naming "standard". However, go to "MIDI octave name display offset" in Preferences > Media > MIDI. Set the value to -1 and it should match.
Dear Sirs, Can I find out about opportunity to use this instrument in win XP? I tried but it hasn't been found with Sonar 4! Yours faithfully, Andrei
Hi Andrei,I think the Win32 should work for you, probably your problem is not in the plugin but in Sonar, I dont use this program, but probably there is a way to make if recognize your plugin, try searching for it on youtube, something like: how to add a vst plugin to Sonar.
Hi! sorry for bothering, but ableton recognizes the vst but not the instruments inside, I mean it's empty. what can I do?

Cool the best plug
Awesome!! Love this amazing vst, so realistic!
Hi, I've downloaded this plugin for win64bit(Win7). Put the dll and folder in the VSTPlugins folder. And still my Cuebase 5 doesn't recognize it. Is there a step I'm missing?
Hi there. Make sure the Folder and dll are of the same name. You might want to ensure there are no spaces in the names also. Some software doesn't recognise the space character in file names. Hope this helps.
Hi Mike, thank you for trying to help. I've tried naming both SonatinaOrchestra, and also tried calling the dll SonatinaOrchestra and the folder SonatinaOrchestra.instruments, but Cuebase still doesn't recognize it.
Hi Mike, thank you for trying to help. I've tried naming both SonatinaOrchestra, and also tried calling the dll SonatinaOrchestra and the folder SonatinaOrchestra.instruments, but Cubase still doesn't recognize it.
I think your cubase 5 is 32 bit but the plugin you have downloaded is 64 bit
Thank you Asho! After downloading the 32bit version and creating the channel through devices -> vst instruments ->sonata orchestra, it's working now! I'm so excited! It only took a year to install properly, who knew? :)
Dudeee, amazingggggg

Been using this plugin for about a year now and it is AMAZING. Very realistic sounds, and great quality.
Re-posting: Does this work with Sibelius notation software? Thank you in advance for your input!
Dude just try loading it and find out for yourself
No me encuentra los instrumentos cuando lo abro en cubase, tengo win 10
Incredible, can't believe it :-)

Amazing!
I am using Windows 10 and just installed Waveform 10. When I try and run the plugin I get the following error. I have downloaded it again with the same error. It doesn't seem to work on an older version of Waveform which it used to do. It maybe a Windows issue. The error reads: Error status 0xc0000020.
Does this work with Sibelius notation software?
Thank you so much for producing free software... If anything I produce makes it big you will be credited I promise you.
It is a wonderfull software and I love it

Bigcat Instruments should set up a Paypal donation system. It doesn't seem right having something this good for nothing.

Bravo! Best Free Orchestra Plugins ever!
Can anyone help ? I downloaded this a few months ago and Reason found it ok. Since then I had to have my computer cleaned up due to problems, and had to uninstall everything. Now it's back , and I've downloaded Sonatina again, but Reason cant find it. I'm an old fart of 67 so simple language please .
Make sure that Reason is looking in the right place, and that the VST is in the right place! 67 is the new 40, my friend! You're not old at heart!

Amazing. Completely amazing
So Good!

Very high quality sounds, works well when used with DSK Virtuoso, or as an addition to Halion Sonic SE (or whatever stock sampler your DAW comes with).
Can anybody help me... my vst shows no instrument found but I have all the instrument file...

WOOOOOOOOOOOOW.... Don't wanna spam under all your plugins but DUDE alone for that solo violin it is 1000% worth I mean it's free... this sounds sooooo good.

Great multi instrument orchestral plug in. Pick and choose your instrument, very high quality, sounds great. Thanks a lot BigCat!
Bigcat - thank you so much for this amazing VST, and for all the VSTs you create and share. Is the piano in this VST available as a separate VST?
Version win 32 DONT LOAD in Fl Studio in WinXP! (((
It seems that in at least some situations Maize instruments won't work with XP. I'm sorry for this.
I think you need an sfz player to load the files within your DAW
