Thank you for this lovely tool. I'm using it in reaper and when I render the file
the violin always reverts to pizzicato articulation. I have not been able to figure out how to keep the articulation I chose when rendering. Any thoughts/tips ? Thank you kindly.

I was looking for free solo cello or violin sample libraries. Hardly any exist, after all the searching and trying this one only passes my test but just barely. It's usable but not very realistic. You need a lot of articulation to make it sound real and believable. I'm constantly drawing vibratos and volume swells using the wheel.
Try vst Studio Strings. It's TOP.

I've been searching this land (of VST/VSTi plugins) far and wide and even in my DAW's stock plugin generator banks. But I finally found the perfect violin synth. TYSM!

How do you change articulation??? It's not working for me, I can right click on the instrument but nothing I do will change the articulation ._. so tired of broken VSTs
You can change it, but it's made kinda strange. To change the articulation you have to press in yellow piano pads for some reason

Sounding kinda too harsh
Make it sound less harsh with effects then?
How do you load plugin into DP?
I Keep getting 'cannot find any instruments' in my DAW - Cakewalk. Cakewalk is able to find the plugin when i do the scan. And iam able to include the plugin into my project. Any specific reason? Do i need to have any other file other than the dll and .mse files?
Same with me same problem
Тоже самое, в Аблетон добавил, нет инструментов пишет...
You should not separate the .dll file and the .instruments folder (which contains the .mse files). They MUST be kept TOGETHER when you move them. So, always ensure you put the '.instruments' folder next to your .dll.
Extract the file and then simply cut the extracted folder into
C/Programfiles/Cakewalk/VST plugins. It works for me in cakewalk by bandlab for all VST plugins. This way the folder contains the dot dll file and the instruments folder.

There is a bug with B4, C5 and C5# using Spiccato articulation, it alternates between differents notes (semi-tone higher). Too bad! It's almost perfect! It totally surpass all other free VST: in fact there are no free VST that can play fast-pace violin à la Vivaldi, and it's plagued by occasional semi-tone errors. Is there a chance for a fix?
Try one of the other versions of VSCO 2 CE, such as one of the SFZ versions (https://vis.versilstudios.com/vsco-community.html). The SFZ versions in particular are very easy to mod if you wish to make a change or find a bug because they are literally just text files.
Hura, at last a violin synth for the Mac that sounds like a real violin and it's free. Works well with Reaper.
Very nice. But why there's no low G, 4th string?

Great sound, especially for being free. Would definitely recommend to anyone on a budget.

Very good plugin, sounds like a real violin, I can believe it's free.

Has a decent sound, but range stops at middle C and doesn't go all the way to G3 like a real violin.
Thank you, but how should I deal with .mse file?? I can't use the VST after I copied .dll file to the plugin folder..
Keep the .instruments folder (which holds the .mse) next to the .dll- if you move the .dll, move the .instruments folder to match. If you don't do this, it can't find the samples!

Nice simple hi-quality violin. The violin section also made by BigCat is also very good. Check the viola too. Thanks again BigCat
