Vocal King is a vocal processor.
Causes vocals to stand out in a mix by giving them amazing presence, clarity, and compression. Can easily work on any other content.
The pres compressor knob is the main work horse of the Vocal King. Turning the pres knob up turns up the gain and brings out the presence in the vocal along with giving it a smooth compression. Low cut, tighten, and bass works with the pres compressor to help take out the mud without making the vocal sound too thin. The crispy knob give highs some sparkle that many will find satisfying. Final compressor gives that extra compression to the vocal to make it sound thick. DB output turns the volume down. Use the power switch to quickly hear the difference between dry and processed. A, B, C, D, modes, I will let you find out what that means. The meters show gain reduction after signal is past 0db.

THis is not the KING of anything......it is absolute trash. Harsh compression creating a lot sound increase but none of which could be considered quality. Tried it on everything from Hip Hop voices to Country and Western....NADA.
Hip Hop and country, Blaaah, hahaha. When you put mindless trash such as that in, you get trash out, even with a $600,000. SSL board. The plugin is great.

Ever wondered how some old analogue recordings have a sweet crispness and sibilance on the higher frequencies? This was often done with analogue enhancers and exciters such as the Aphex Aural Exciter. The 'Crispy' control on this plugin does the same job! You will use this plugin for a lot more than just vocals, drum loops can be greatly improved for example. Get this plugin, it's absolutely great. Thank you very much J Hud Studio!

This plugin should be rewarded with an additional, sixth star. :) You can mix vocals within 30 seconds and the quality is top notch. Just a little bit of gain riding and saturation and you're home. What a brilliant piece of software, thank you so much for sharing!
Thanks Viper ITB and everyone else who has commented. This means a lot to me. Next version will have a form of saturation/distortion built it. It will be more of a tube drive. I am in the processes of fine tuning it.

I wish I would have has this like 5 years ago. I can squeeze vocals to death and still make them sound smooth. Low cut tighten and bass knob gives an easy way to make lows in vocals sound good. I would add a form of tube saturation to the plugin.

Very nice plug in. I wish there was a 64bit version and a mac version. Leveling between the pres amp knob and the final comp, this give me a smooth thick vocal. The low cut is great. The tighten knob, I can hear a little difference but not much, not sure what it does exactly. The crispy knob sounds sweet but at times it sounds like the highs are being squeezed too much. The db out knob after limiting to 0 db gives me a way to set to the level at a perfect position. I do want to be able to set db higher than 0 though. I can see some type of analog saturation added to this which would make people want it more. I find though that the plugin uses cpu like a horse, but its not a problem with my fast computer and computers keep getting faster. Overall I gave it a 5 out of 5 because this does help mix vocals fast. Good luck jhudstudio. Thanks, Shane
