VGP is a Grand Piano emulation designed to create a realistic instrument sound as close to the original as possible.

The sound is rich and responsive to provide a sense of realism and natural expression to the user. Particular care and attention has been taken in the reproduction of the original realism and touch response and uses full length sampled notes without any loop. This provides a more natural decay of each individual note of the instrument. The Envelope and Pedal sections provide more options and control for shaping the sound to suit the needs of the user.

VPG provides a range of instrument choice: Grand Piano, Mellow Piano, Bright Piano, Tonk Piano.

The only knocks I have are: It starts in the wrong octave by default. (Minor annoyance). The velocity curve is hypersensitive, which is a problem if playing live (I wouldn't). The velocities of the notes can be "compressed" in the DAW to find a more reasonable amount of dynamic range. (Nuisance to game-breaker, depending.)

It's ok, but even pianoteq 2.3 is more versatile and had a better velocity curve when used with a m-audio keystation 88. But this is free, and for free it's very good.

I compared it to a lot of small-sized plugins. This one sounds not that bad, if you know how to handle it. Add a bit extern room of your favourite plugin and the sound is good enough for a demo which you can show to your band. Low CPU and works stable around here (Windows 10, 64-bit).

If I play as chord key, sound is very poor :(

Versatile grand piano, many different settings and sounds can be tailored to suit. Very useful piano to have for a variety of tune types. Another great one from Samsara, thanks very much!
