I work much faster with VSTHOST and AUDACITY.... sometimes PSYCLE
The link leads to the fourth version. It requires registration. I'm afraid this is as much a setup as the last Audacity with "KGB"-scripts. No one has a third version of the program?

Very cool software with a lot of functionality and usages. Perhaps a bit difficult to understand at first, but like anything it takes time.

requires you to register for an account on their website. uses a key code that probably ties your installation to your computer and you personally, and if you want support you have to register on their forum and they are all crosseyed googly mofos that make you hate the product. if it was software on a physical cd I would burn it and throw it in the trash. NOT recommended. NOPE NOPE NOPE.
Before spit your nonsense, read the term and condition. You are not tracked at all, there is online or pdf manual, the forum is not mandatory. The activation code permits installation on multiple devices.

Loved it when I first got it. It isn't phobic of half my plugins, the way all my DAWs are...I, Kind Of, Thought, that it was part of a DAW's job description to, y'know, accept plugins..? But the last update did away with "preferences", making it so that it's now basically a stamp collection album where you can look at your VSTs and plugins and admire how pretty they look.

I'm commenting and rating this so hopefully it gets the attention it deserves. It's a very capable and versatile live playback instrument environment, especially considering that it's free. One thing that I love about it is that it's great for even just testing out instruments and VSTs. But I'm really getting into using it as a real-time performance application. It's 2021 and it's still getting updates. More music producers should be looking into this and giving it a try, especially those in my case that are working on electronic music performance on the cheap.

This has become my go-to for integrating my VSTs, editors, and hardware into a very large setup. Every update the thing gets even better, and customer support is almost instant. I've submitted ideas to them that have popped up in subsequent updates. Absolutely fantastic program. This is Mainstage for Windows and designered with Mainstage and Brainspawn users in mind.

Could be the easiest host for live playing. Much easier than Akai VIP or Elements. A little pricey for the Solo version but I was up and running a full set pretty quick. Very stable. Wish the Performer level was a little cheaper.
where can i find the setup files for an earlier version still running on xp sp2 (version 2xxx probably, perhaps 30xx)? the oldest on the original site are 31xx and need sp3. thanks.

Excelente herramienta para hacer música. Además tiene soporte en español. La recomiendo ampliamente para quienes quieren organanizar de manera eficiente los VST tanto de instrumentos como de efectos.

I prefer earlier versions because the randomize function is still there. Doesn't seem to be present on this one.

Cantabile is available in three editions - Lite, Solo and Performer. All available in the same setup file. Cantabile Lite is the completely free edition. Make sure this is the version you install.
