It is still very good, despite being old.

Wow, it's awesome. No presets (maaaaaan). Small but intuitive GUI. Unremarkable but pleasant tone. Looks highly useful. Sustain pedal seems to work well.

I was so impressed by the freebie, that I bought the full version.

Too bad, it is a msi, that means you have to start an installer program, but the sounds I have heard on Youtube are so good!

Just downloaded all of the Analog synths and tried them out. I'm always on the lookout for good Poly Synth FAT sounds. This was my pick of the lot. Great pre sets and lots of easy to use features. And unlike a few of them it didn't crash my DAW.

Good sounding analogue synth if a little thin at times, GUI is a little grainy though.

I thought it was a great synth, and even considered paying for some of the other synths in its family. But I can't be dealing with the issues I regularly experience using it. It doesn't retain my chosen presets in FL Studio 20 when I save/load a project. Elsewhere, I've had to close/open projects in OpenMPT that use the P8 because the instruments end up sounding like static/noise. I thought it may be because I'd used too many P8 instances or was mixing the 32/64 bit version of the plugin.
I feel really frustrated at having found the P8 so useful in the beginning. Now, it's just something I have to avoid or find a replacement for in various instances.

Good, medium-skilled software plug-in.

I can't give nothing less than a 5 for this one. Amazing sounds.

Der Sound zeigt die beste Seite von Roland. Vom ganzen Roland. Und nichts als dem Roland. (The sound shows the best of Roland, of the whole Roland, and nothing but the Roland.)

Superb!!!
Yes, you can make that god damn hoover sound with this.
I love it, but, having problems on Brainspawn Forte 2 for live perfomance :(

NOTHING CAN EXPLAIN HOW GOOD THIS VST IS. IT'S AWESOME
JP-8000 emulation and sounds are on the money!! DOWNLOAD THIS MUTHA!!
Incredible sound richness for a free synth!

I have used it for several years now - and I still use it to produce some nice trance leads and chords. Flexible and lightweighted. It sometimes likes to freeze the sound synthesis, but responses correctly to 'kill machine' command of my software. Sometimes it remembers automation last command therefore you need to reset the parameters to defaults (or your own) by sending proprer MIDI commands before starting to record the final track. The first strike of the instrument always sounds far too compressed and misses any filter setting. But it is easy to deal with. Still a good instrument for trance makers :-)

Old. Alias - phasing problems. I still love it. One of the best freebees ever. You just have to keep in mind that it is a plugin and not a real synth. I use it all the time. I love the strings.
Emula muy bien al roland JP 8000. Muy Bueno

Really a great tool, and FREE!!

When using this baby like 15 times in a single project consider buying the pro version since it is less cpu heavy. This is great for all sorta sounds especially JARRE-like sounds. I think it sounds a lot like Helix (helix is more powerful though).

Old synth, but still one of the best subtractive.

One of the best I've encountered. Reminds me a lot of my old Roland JX-8P in sound and programmability.
Yes it is based on the roland jx.
It is based on the Roland JP8000.

I now use the full pro version, but had used the free version on a heck of a lot of stuff. It's heavier on CPU than the fuller version, but still worth having and using. SUPERWAVE is the right name for their line of soft synths Trance, Tarkus, etcetera. Good stuff, even the free one!

I've had this synth for about a year now and use it extensively. Nice fat pads, solid leads, quirky effects ~ a truly great instrument.

This is synth, which is superior to many free analog synths. Great sound, very solid presets(especially leads are great), a lot of posibilities in creating sound... Get it.
