My First Synth is a simple monophonic synthesizer.
This is my first "practice project" for learning how to make plugins. I've made some mistakes while doing it (first of all, started out with a too small GUI size, so it's all a little 'stuffed'), but I wanted to finish and 'release' it at some point to do new projects, which means I likely won't revisit it and fix bugs (if any...).
Win: recommended to use VST2 version, VST3 version is experimental.
Mac: not sure if AU version works in Logic, can't test, only tested in Reaper.

- Simple mono synth.
- GUI handmade with love.
- One osc. with sine, square, triangle, saw to choose from.
- One filter with resonance (HP, LP, BP to choose from).
- Osc. has quite a bit of aliasing, this synth is more on the harsh than the lovely side.
- Modulation: ADSR -> vol., ADSR -> cutoff (positive and negative amount),
- LFO -> cutoff, LFO -> pitch (LFO's waveforms sine, square, triangle, saw to choose from).
- Glide (portamento), working a little strange at higher amounts.
- Output is hard-limited at -0.5db FS for safety, the filter can get a little loud at high resonance.

Ok this is a GREAT synth. Not too think, Not too thin. The GUI is funky and Quite different I really like it.

Just tested the AU version in Logic Pro 10.2.4. Works perfectly. I love the synth, especially the GUI and the Pitch section! Good job

Sounds decent to me, and as Duke Ellington said, if it sounds good, it is good.
nofish - I haven't tried the VST yet, but I love that GUI, very playful, lots of fun, very eye-catching, and so different from the usual "normal" GUIs.. nice job :)

As u said it's a practice project. For a first shot it's a more than ok synth. The GUI itself is funny and unusual, but the user has to guess too much, what's clickable and what is deco stuff. That's the only negative aspect of the GUI. ;)
Thanks, appreciated. And you're right about the GUI, it was more about fun than ergonomics / best user experience. Promise I'll try better in my next projects.. ;)

OK, you can get some useful sounds out of this, but the practical joke is a bit tough for eyes... :D
