I don't know man. It does everything an instrument sample vst should do. It has a good cello sound, good articulation control but there's something not right with the sound. It ends up sounding a little bit synthy even after I try to make it as human as possible using eq, reverb and articulations. There's just something about the notes that I can't pinpoint that make it sound more like a synth than a sample based instrument.

Sound not bad, sound and soft, it's just not realistic. Não soa mal, é bom e suave, só não é realista.
I agree, does not sound realistic once in the higher range.

Pops up and can be played when it's open but does not read track info from the score and doesn't play.
I own personal orchestra and its solo cello.I just wanna try Sonatina Cello. But Sampler 2.5 do not work for it
D note is out of tune :(

I got this for the solo cello. The tone of the samples is quite good and realistic, but there are some issues that make it difficult to work with. First off, the samples only last so long. After it re-bows, it ends often with a crescendo and a hard lift. So you have to make sure you don't use not longer than the max. The hard lift is also usually what I don't want.
Secondly, there is room noise of some kind just after the hard release in many of the samples. So you would want to add a gate on filter that out. Thirdly, some of the notes are not in tune. In particular, D below middle C is quite off, and I had to add a auto-tune module to tame this. Fourth, it seems to be sampled all at the same level (on layer). So decreased velocity just gives a softer wound with the same hard attack. Lastly, some of parameters only work within a very narrow range, for example release. Move it just a touch and it gates off instantly with a click.
So while the actual tone is quite realistic and the price is free, there are some issues that make getting good results from this take a bit of work.

I like the Cello Pizzicato for my haunted house theme :)
Downloaded Sonatina Cello today and tried it out in Reaper. It worked well and I am very pleased with it. Thank you very much!
Works in Reaper and sounds good (64 bit version )
I agree with Dusty. The VST won't load when opening a project in LMMS. Would've been a great one otherwise...
Excellent, thank you.

So I love the sound on this one. Only... it stops working after a while and won't load. A shame really.
