Absolutely amazing free instrument. I have been searching for a free solo violin for months now, and I have to say this is by far the best one.

Works well on Cakewalk! Not perfect, but it's the best one I've found on this site!

Very good sould for a free plugin! One thing that bothers me is that the range ends on C4, but violin range goes down to G3, so there are some notes missing that are on the real violin.

See also Steve's comments. You need to place the folder "Sonatina Violin - 32.instruments" or "Sonatina Violin - 64.instruments" at the same level where you place the "Sonatina Violin - 32.dll"/"Sonatina Violin - 64.dll". The corresponding *.mse file must be under these directories.

tt is an absolutely amazing sounding violin. It fits really well with the Sonatina cello.
After installing the plugin, it says "no instruments found" in the box. how to fix?
Using this plugin with ableton, why does it say "no instruments found" when I load the plugin?

I am using this instrument with a lot of success. Positive comments, very easy to use and it packs a lot of features even for the free download. Thanks for sharing it.

Very happy with this. To those having trouble installing it/making it work, here's what I do for Ableton under Windows -- your procedure is likely to be pretty similar. Before you start, make sure you've created a folder for plugins, and that your software knows where to find it. Imagine you’ve created a folder called C:\Plugins for your plugins.
In Ableton: Settings>Plug-ins>Use VST2 Plug-In Custom Folder>On and then clicking a Browse button in the same dialog box to set C:\Plugins as the custom folder. Same procedure for VST3 plug-ins. 1. Download the zip to some convenient folder (I've created one called "Plugin sources" for all my downloaded plugin zips). 2. Browse to “Plugin sources” in File Explorer. 3. Right-click the .zip file. 4. Choose Extract all. 5. When Windows asks you to specify a file to extract to, point it at C:\Plugins. If your plug-ins folder is C:\Plugins and you’re installing the 64-bit version of Sonatina Violin, this procedure will have: a. Saved Sonatina Violin - 64.dll in C:\Plugins. b. Created a folder called C:\PlugIns\Sonatina Violin - 64.instruments. d. Saved Sonatina Violin - 64.mse in that folder. 6. In Ableton, go Settings>Plugins>Rescan Plug-Ins. The plug-in then appears in the browser under (believe it or not) Plug-Ins!
Thanks :)
This is nice sound, but, it is not a violin. One must play, probably, to hear that. If you wish REAL violin, or electric? look me up, william!! https://williamstewartviolinist.bandcamp.com/album/songs-of-war-all-instruments-played-by-william-all-music-by-william
Desculpa perguntar mais os sons sao gratuitos ou preciso pagar alguma quantia pra vc ?

Great free plugin. Can't believe ppl are having trouble adding this into fl studio. It's like importing any other vst you download. You locate your plugins folder in your program files, extract it there, open fl studio, on the top toolbar go to your options, click manage plugins (make sure your plugins folder is listed, if not you can add it with the add folder button) Look for the "find more plugins" button and it will scan your plugins folders for new plugins..
Yes but when I open the plugin it says no instruments found

It doesn't work! How the hell should i install this shit in FL Studio 20?!
just go to manage plugin and find it there...

Good solo violin
Is there any way to make them pretend on logic pro x?

so I have had problems with the GUI a bit with several of your VST's on LMMS, they work fine for the most part but sometime when I try to change for example from solo to sustain, the little pop up menu on the GUI freezes and it doesn't allow me to change it, it will just stay on normal violin preset, sometimes it will allow me to change to a different one, it's very random most of the time and can be pretty annoying at times, other than that it sounds amazing and am grateful, this happens with several of the bigcat VST idk if it's the VST themselves of LMMS.
How to make it work on lmms?
Unfortunately none of these plug ins work with Logic Pro x.

You are great bro. You really made an awesome vst. Great job !
Awesome!!! It came right through on podium, love it
I can't seem to find the VST in the FX menu (Reaper). What do I do?
Did you go into Preferences and hit Re-scan in Plug-ins > VST?
Love it, thx man. Made my world more magic :)

This is the best i hv used its so real. thanx
Thank you a lot dude
Firstly thanks for helping by adding this helpful plugin as i noticed from the sample video.. so i already extracted the files in the specified folder for VST plugins but it still says (cannot find any instruments)..is there any other solution for this issue?
Just copy the dll file and paste in the vst folder inside the installed DAW location.

Thanks a lot also from my side! Amazing Job!
I would just suggest to unzip the entire thing into the place where you normally store your plugins. Then just add it into fl studios via the plugin manager
como lo instalo? NO PUEDO ME SALE UN MENSAJE DE NO INTRUMENTOS
Sounds amazing for a free vst!
I have fl studio and I installed the plug-in and it said that it could not find any instruments. The program did come with an .mse file but I do not know how to install it or anything. Need help! Thanks!
Copy the dll AND the folder wich contains the mse file.

It should be noted this has some stability issues in LMMS when loading a project, regardless, it's still amazing and I would suggest it.

thanks for this plugin! Question: is it normal I can't select below C5?
It also happends to me. Try making a sample and pitching or something like that :D
It says that it can't find any instruments when I open it, any idea why?
Extract the whole zip in your vst folder, not just the .dll
I already did that but it's not work yet... can't find any instruments
It is my problem too. I did everything. I put Folder and *.dll file in SoundPack folder, but when i enter in FL studio 12, it just show folder. :(
Fl 12 might give you a hard time, so try it on FL 11

This is BY FAR the best free Violin VST I have encountered! The sounds are so wonderful when you add reverb! Though, the tremolo is a bit odd sounding, but I pay no mind to it. 5/5!
I just wanted to publicly thank our host for taking the time and effort to put these instruments up for a second time. Also for hosting all the other VSTs here. Hopefully he has a good deal on his bandwidth as I suspect we cost him a couple of bucks with our downloads. Thanks also to Mattias Westlund for assembling the Sonatina Orchestra and all the folks who did the samples. Version One had some problems that the people at Maize (these are made in Maize Sampler) fixed. Hopefully these are now less glitchy and thanks to a friend who made new GUIs a little prettier. If you have any issues please post a comment as there are lots of helpful folks here and I can try to help as well. Thanks for giving them a try.
