Excellent in every way. The only downside for me is it's a little bit heavy on the processor for my ancient computer. But there's always a workaround and I'm always experimenting with alternatives to tracking so I'm sticking with it. After all, the quality of ART Pyrite free is worth the effort.

I found this one of my favorite VST 's here to experiment with. At first I thought there was something wrong with the download, because I could not figure out how to get it to unpack and work. After trial and multiple errors, and a little frustration, I figured out now to make it work. If you encounter the same issues I had, then I will let you know how I opened this particular VST. I used '7ZIP' to open up the nessassary files. I believe 7ZIP may still be available to download for free online. I also put it into 'Savihost', which I believe is still available online for free. After I opened this VST, it was like WOW! Some really cool ambient stuff to work with here. Well worth the trouble to figure out how to make it work! Thanks to the developer for an awesome 10/10 VST. But I'd take 1 star off for the frustration). G.

This VSTi is actually a MASTERPIECE. Hours of fun guaranteed for all the family. Needs to be a 64-bit version.

I really enjoy the wide variety of presets. It's interface takes a little getting used to.

SUPER
this needs to be fixed its not the free version, why is this not hosted ?
Free version's link is at the very bottom of the developeer's homepage.
Where is the free trial version ???
Hi guys, been trying to DL this softsynth again but what downloads from her website isn't the full file. Can't even unpack the RAR file. Cos it's not a proper RAR file or something...? Dammit. Was hoping you guys were separately hosting it from here....
Try again, it worked fine for me.
I tried again, and just incase anyone else needs to know, I could only extract the files with 7zip. Cool.
It's in three files. You activate the first one, follow the instructions, then it will automatically unpack the next two. The 2nd and 3rd cannot be unpacked by themselves. I found that out the hard way.

This really does some cool sounds for a free synth.

Just downloaded the RAR file, unpacked it with 7zip, copied the resulting set of files to my Mixcraft 3rd Party VST folder. Opened Mixcraft 7 accessed VSTs and voila. ARTPyrate. The library of wonderful sounds in the free version will have me stashing $60 bucks into my debit for a very reasonable $60 purchase. Just a wonderful resource for film scoring or just creating some nice sound scapes. Nice Job ART Pyrate. Mike
Thank you Mike, I am really glad you like it :-)
Thank you very much Mark for your nice words to ART Pyrite ! A small note to users who can not use 32 bit plugins. ART Pyrite is also available as a synthesizer for KONTAKT. It uses the same sound sources like VST version and internal waveforms are processed at very similar ways so the final sounds/presets are very similar to the VST version. The Kontakt version newly includes also the additional part Choir and Strings with another 270 presets, which was earlier available only in the VST version.
Perhaps I should consider KonTakt. I've heard many good things about it. I've been using Magix Music Maker 2014 for two years, only learning VST's over the last 13 months or so. Regardless of Platform used: Pyrite is astonishing!

Having played with the demo off and on for a few months, I finally bought the full version. IT IS STUNNING!!! I can see where she had a connection with Gunter Haber, HG FORTUNE. The sonic landscapes are endless with this VSTi. The presets themselves are well worth the $60.00! Hats off to you, Vera! You ROCK!!!

Amo ART Pyrite, los colchones que se pueden hacer son tan relajantes. Si se pudiera comprar en pesos argentinos me lo compraria.
ART Pyrite was updated. I added the special Wave Edition for the possibility to load own samples (wavs). Some other presets. Now ART Pyrite includes more than 1000 presets !!!
Now I added one other free sound bank called Choir & Strings with 256 presets for all users of Art Pyrite full version. Thanks to all who support me !
I have been using HG Fortune, Chimera, Alchemy, many pads and atmosphere synths. Been laying these textures over trip hop and a little more rock type beats than EDM or Tech. Not going for a new age but a new... new wave. It takes a little for fans to get used to it but they love it when they do. I would like to hear more start doing it. You lay a good atmosphere and hold the keys, use your BPM to time out like that of a song length, recording it, then work in your song structure, your beats, bass line, vox parts. YOu can get a really awesome new type of electronica music, like symphonic. This will be great to work with for my genre, which is trip hop

Wonderfully surprised at how great this synth performs. A lot of options for tweaking, and the sound quality is top notch. While it is similar to HG Fortune synths, ART Pyrite seems to have a more modern "ring" to it, if you will. Which sets it apart from HG Fortune. I may buy the commercial version but only to have the "Random" feature activated.
This is a smart and great sounding synth - try it out. Full version sf2 compatible with lots of sound possibilities. Extra free version sounds set on KVR Audio.

If you like HG Fortune synths, you like this. I'm going to purchase the commercial version when I get money! This is good one.
