VibroMaster is a sampled vibraphone.

It contains 42 stereo samples from the University of Iowa Electronic Music Studios public domain library.  You can use a sustain pedal to play with full release notes, but if you don't have one, you can switch from Short to Full release with the midi notes A2 (57) for short and B2 (59) for full. These 2 notes can be triggered from the GUI.
  • 42 stereo 24 bit samples.
  • 2 groups: Short / Full release.
  • Release time control for the short group.
  • Sustain levels for each group.
  • Amplitude dynamic range control.
  • Main volume.
  • Ugly GUI.

For anyone facing the error: "Cannot find any instruments" First create a folder with the name of the vst for example VibroMaster and move the VibroMaster.dll and the folder VibroMaster.instruments inside this folder ;) I use Reaper, but it might work on other DAWS. Every instrument that shows cannot find instruments and just do that, it worked for me

I open the vsti and it opens but "Cannot find any instruments". Dll and mse are both in vst plugin folder. Don't know what else I'm supposed to do.

OMG, Sounds great ! I use REAPER as my DAW (Fantastic, Cheap, and easy to use). Was trying to find a decent vibro for Margaritaville. It did the trick right out of the ZIP file. Added the dll and file to my Steinberg VST folder, rebooted REAPER and bam. Thanks

I couldn't use it, when i play a random note on the piano roll nothing happens, i can hear the sounds just on the plugin GUI, as DAW i use SoundBridge, any suggestions?

Mira flaco, eso es porque no tenias routeado bien el teclado midi. Yo lei el sonidito de los beatles y creo que estoy bastante instruido en el tema. Saludos

How do I use .mse VSTs in LMMS? They've never worked with other stuff that names .vst files as .mse. Do I just rename them?

This one comes with a .dll file (vst 2) along the instrument folder, this is the plugin. If you can't see it, check the "show files extensions" (or something similar) in your file browser.

Use it with Melda MT Tremolo free vst and it is very realistic with the sustain pedal too.

It doesn't sound impressive on it's own. But I used a delay/reverb effect with some tweaking to achieve the vibrato needed to make this Vibrpahone sampler sound usable. Without any additional plugins, this won't sound very good. But hey, for free, it will do the job.

But the whole point of VIBRAphone is the false VIBRAto! On a real one you can adjust the speed of the fans, too. It's at the core of the sound...

You clearly got a wrong idea about what a vibraphone is if you're talking about fans of some sort.

The special feature of the vibraphone, the one that gives the instrument its name, is a set of small, electrically operated fans above the resonators (and below the bars) that cause a vibrato effect by rapidly closing and opening the resonators. A pedal-controlled damper, consisting of a long strip of felt below each row of bars, can silence the bars, permitting the playing of short notes and unblurred series of chords. Cutting off the fans, changing their speed, or using hard mallets are other ways to alter the normal tone quality of the vibraphone. Source:https://www.britannica.com/art/vibraphone

Yes, the fan system is missing, and it’s a big mist for jazz vibes

Followed instructions. Put zip file in /vst plugins folder. Unzipped to there. New folder for Vibromaster instruments with dll and subfolder with mse. Studio one win 10 shows up in files as vibromaster instruments only as a folder not a vst instrument

Not a techy person. I downloaded it but, cannot get it to work on my PC for some reason. What am I missing? is this standalone or do I play this from my DAW Studio One 3? DAW doesn't see it yet.

Incredible that this is free. Slap some reverb on it and it sounds like a real one. Thanks Alan for your generous hard work on all your vsts.

Dude, you're using either a 32bit version of the plugin in a 64bits FL Studio interface or it is the other way around. Look for "bridged" in the FL Studio forums and you will understand it.
