SAFEReverb is a semantic reverb, it can load settings by typing descriptive words.
The SAFE plug-ins are a series of audio plug-ins which allow the user to provide timbral descriptions of the audio they are processing with them. The plug-in then analyses the audio and saves the data to the SAFE server. This data is collected from all the users and analysed to give a general synopsis of what types of sound a given descriptor is used for. All this information can then be used to create a series of `semantic plug-in settings'. Users will be able to load plug-in settings by typing in descriptive words of how they want the audio to sound. The more people who upload descriptors to the server the better the downloaded plug-in settings will get.
The SAFE Project is motivated by the lack of statistically-defined transferable semantic terms in music production and the requirement for more intuitive control of low-level parameters. One of the main outcomes of the project is a suite of DAW plug-ins that allow you to both save and load semantic terms from within the audio production workflow. This means you can now control your audio effect plug-ins using terms that normal human beings can understand! Just type a term (such as warm, bright, etc...) into the text-box, and if we have it on our server, your parameters will be moved around to represent this. Similarly, if you achieve an effect that can be explained in semantic terms, input it into the box and hit save. As the plug-ins are based on the music production community, the more users that input terms, the more representative the effects become for everyone else.

This is a very good reverb. I've been searching for couple of years for something similar to Lexicon and this is the only one I've found that's good, apart from real Lexicon VST. They could improve it by removing that typing window ( no one likes) and making the button font white. Algorythm is great.

Great reverb, I really like it, thanks for the linux version :)
Why this plugins not run on fl studio? I download as always, put the .dll file on my vst binder, but when i refresh and put one of this in the mixer fl studio says "Something wrong loading plugin SAFEReverb, Please make you sure intalled and registered"

This is actually an excellent quality reverb, not something I expected. It gave me a drum room I could not get with anything in years. Just leave it all at default and only bring the SIZE to 0. It is very subtle but it is the ambience needed to complete real drums recorded in home studio.
I agree. I think this one has been unfairly critizised beause of the abstract SAFE-concept and because people are uncomfortable with anything that involves keeping their DAW online. But just as that's a completely reasonable worry, so is this reverb a very nice reverb in it's own right. It can give a song a natural, imperfect, but understated sheen, that je te veux. I too have used it on acoustic drums to give them some space and air. It also works very reliably, didn't once crash my DAW or fail to load a 100% plugin state.
Non funziona su reaper, non lo legge.
Works in Reaper for me since 2015. This is a great reverb. It places what you throw into it in a lively space and makes it breathe. I use it to spice convolution reverbs and realism. I haven't used it as a substitue for a Lexicon-like algorithmic reverb and I don't know if it works for that, but what(ever) it does, it does well. Just like everyone says, you can ignore the "typing words"-gimmick and enjoy this reverb as it comes.
It crashes my reaper session every single time I try to use it. I c'ant even get the plugin opened.

Wow... Typing words? A normal reverb is enough for me, but this is amazing.
