DVS Guitar is based on a sampled electric guitar.
It's good for leads and heavy sounds, and very realistic if your good with a pitch wheel controller.

I have over 150 plugins. I use REAPER as my DAW. I compose classic rock. I have several paid and freeware guitar plugins. This plugin is on the list of my very most favorite plugins. Its tone, by itself, is fantastic and used in tandem with amp simulators and distortion pedals the sky is the limit. When I downloaded it, I felt like I was Carlos Santana. I could not stop playing through it via my Nektar Impact LX88 + midi controller.
What guitar was it sampled from?

Sounds pretty bad

Great for psychedelic rock!
Doesn't show up in my plugin selection? Maybe because its a 32bit? Can anyone help me?
mine neither
Si es en flstudio solo tienen que ir al disco local donde tienen el fl normalmente en el C luego archivos de programa, image line flstudio y luego, buscan los plugins vst, pegan el archivo que extrajeron de la descarga

Here's a testement to how good this plug in sounds. And, even though it's 32 bit, it has yet to cause a crash. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0HKQSANpbp

With some creativity it can make very fun stuff

Decent tone all by itself. Run it through free amp 3 and wow factor increases tenfold. Great for lead and distorted type rhythm as well. I've used this plug on pretty much every recording I've made since I downloaded. I use this along with blue jeans and moonbeams (for chimes, cuffs and such) and it can fool most common folk into believing it's a real guitar.
Sou fã dessa guitarra...

Que mal suena esta guitarra!

Excellent VST i'd give it more stars if i could.

Rubbish. It can only play loud and distorted - even when you select 'Soft "n"Clear' from the presets.

Simple and passable sound for composing. For unknown reason, cant play with computer keyboard (but midi works fine?). I give only 4/5 because sound is quite limited after all, but it made me smile.

Awesome 10/10 The Best Ever.

Amazing. Amazing. Best guitar ever. 10/10.

Sounds like almost like a midi guitar, not good at all.
i agree with you

I can tell that the developer himself are commenting and adding 5 stars to this plugin, because there are much better ones out here than this.
When I load the VST, it's says "Can't load Module, Unkargherth SE Reverb", and after that it's not working. Any idea ?
It may only work in 32-bit sometimes. I get that error when I run certain 32-bit VSTs in 64-bit FL.

I heard this and my jaw dropped. Dude you guys GOTTA try it. Just as good as expensive, commercial VSTs! I've started using it in most of my songs now.

How can someone rate this 1-2? Vst guitar that can fit into floopy disc and sound much better than almost all others...
This would have rocked my world if I had heard it the last time I used a floppy disc.

Amazing! One of the best VST electric guitars. It sounds really good. It was what I need for my LMMS in Linux Mint. Greetings.

Exactly what I was looking for!
Great overdriven distortion sound! But pitch bender is a must for complete extertainment. Good work.

Sounds very good with dirthead or AXP softamp GT, really like it. Very clean sound, and quite realistic.
How do I make a note slide with this plugin? It won't work
You need a software that has that built in, or a keyboard of sorts with a pitch slider or wheel.
The best I've ever used

I used it a long time, but I work heavily with long sustained notes, but this stops too early for me. But it's okay.
You just need to clone your vst and ajust the plugin / misc , volume and pitch. Tape your sounds and put um together, differends is the lower or higher who gives a crap for repeating until it's over, this vst plugin rocks so get used to it.

Sounds a bit sketchy at first, but add some other VST amp effect and you got a real beast. One of my favorites.

Distorted sound only. No clean tone.
Roll back the drive to zero and you have a clean guitar sound.

No velocity is a big gripe but it has it's purpose in a lead role with big concert gain. One of the better ones out there. If anyone finds out how to add artificial velocity please let me know.
For some velocity all you need to do is create a sequence on one track. Copy the VSTi and sequence to two other tracks so you would now have a total of three. On tracks one through three allow only certain sections to play by cutting out over lapping sections. You Decide which sections of the track will be lower or louder Last but most important, adjust the volumes of each track and it's like manual automation. Hope this helps.
excelent !!! save in my favorite files
hi the DVS GUITAR IS VERY GOOD TO USED MAKING MUSIC I LIKE THE EFFECT SO MUCH AND USED MOST OF THE TIME
(4 / 5)
Great for doing free-form solos over Berlin School type sequencer backings using the "heavy" preset (Tangerine Dream - circa late 1970's) but not much good for rock. FL Slayer is better then this for that

I found it useful for Me. The Remix Don

Add some effects like an amp plugin and this is the best free guitar out there.
No it's not anymore, there is a new free one here that rocks!
Nick - do you have a link to the new free guitar? Thanks in advance. I like this DVS VST for the "muted palm' setting and for some leads. I do wish there was a sustain option, to make the notes last longer.
Killer sound

Thanks for the cool guitar, i needed something like this...
(5 / 5)
Very cool! Added a little pitch bend and practice and got some Santana sounds. Just what my songs needed. High notes as good as low ones.
No working on Ableton 8, No working on Wavelab 4.0, Windows Xp pro!
Realmente es muy bueno este vst solo, pero con peavey mkiii revalver es una MAZAA!

It is a great solo machine, get this before its gone!
This is my fave guitar vst. Run this in a chain with one of the many free guitar rack vst's, and this thing smokes. Easy cpu load, and nice and loud. A great vst.
Amazing.... I like it for solos.
FL Slayer is much better
Agreed
FL Slayer 2 is even beyond it all

esta mejor que el FL slayer, realmente funciona bien,me gusto esta vts

Extra !! De très bons sons, exploitables !! Paramétrages faciles et couplés avec un ampli ; terrible - MERCI !
Is good if you use voxengoboogex or a lot of good effects.
(1 / 5)
Terrible.. definitely not worth the time..
(5 / 5)
Great! A little work with effects and u can get complex distortions. Come in handly
better than fl slayer
Respectfully: no it isn't. FL Slayer eats this plugin for bkft, lunch, & dinner.
(4 / 5)
This is not really good. But I think I'll use it for fun, ya know?
(5 / 5)
It's a pretty awesome VSTi, I can't believe the quality of the sound they can generate on computers nowadays
(3 / 5)
All you have to do is put it in the "vst" folder, to get there you have to go to "my computer", then "program files", then "image line", then "fl studio", then "plugins", then there should be the "vst" folder.

dude with the right effects it's up there with the guitar rig thanks yall

There is no power at all.... but still it's free
