VST Speek is a speech software synthesizer: it reads the text you type in the text field.
It emulates the Software Automatic Mouth (SAM) software for Commode 64 and can be used to get robotic voice. This plugin is responsive to MIDI notes and pitchbend. It's monophonic and velocity sensitive.

This plugin is perfect for putting a robotic voice into techno music! 5 stars!
Can somebody help to get this vst speek free plugin ready to use for garageband?
When i tried to dowload the macOS AU, it gave me a .zip. i unzipped it, and inside was a folder called VSTSpeek.component, not an actual .component file.
I also have this problem too
It doesn't work, when i downloaded it, it came good, but if when i try to open it, it never worked. help me fix this
I can't run when i make it .exe file it says: This app can't run on your PC. To find version for you PC, check with the software publisher
If you are using Windows you might have to install using enhanced privileges. ie right client run as administrator. Or if you scroll down further on the windows message you might be able override the message several times to get it to install. I’ve just downloaded the file and it isn’t an executable file. Extract the folder. Once extracted locate the file Vstpeek3.dll (I downloaded the 64 bit version). The file doesn’t indicate that it is a vst3 file so you need to locate the vst2 plugin folder in your DAW. In Cubase you need to run the vst wizard to link the file into the database. If that doesn’t work then import the the whole extracted folder into the VST2 plugin folder.

MORTIS. Does what is says on the tin. Robots of the retro-future!
I used to use without a DAW program. I had this plugin on my desktop. I can't use it for a long time. I don't know why. And now I need it. I don't use any DAW for my music.

I love it? Retro as rimes with pluck, and actualy useful
Hey guys, anyone having trouble installing it on mac? :(
yes! I can't use it in all my daws and it's horrible D=
Hey wondering if you guys had figured out how to get the mac version working??
It started crashing for me in ableton in windows around aug2020. Haven't been able to figure out why yet.
I don't know if you knew that, but inside the folder downloaded is the VST. Copy this VST to ¨Library/Audio/Plug-ins/VST¨ and it should work. Probably you will need to use ¨VstSpeek3-x64.vst¨, not ¨VstSpeek3.vst¨.

Works great for adding retro-style speech into tracks.

Great! On the one hand, it´s so much fun, but on the other hand it´s a serious tool for retro stye effects. You can use it very simple by inserting a C4 midi note in your "piano roll" for starting the "speach". But there is a different way: Download and install the free tool "recorder no. 23" and make a virtual recording with "recorder no. 23" during you start "VST speak" manually.
did not do what i wanted. It would not resume the sound when you play a different note, it would start over.

I like it, but it's not set up the best. If I try to type a space, the VST doesn't respond- it just sends the space right to my DAW, playing and pausing. Backspace, additionally, does nothing, as do the arrow keys. Incredible on everything else though, I'd give it a 5/5 if it wasn't for how annoying the UI can get.
That's what the "Enable Keyboard" check box in the corner is for. It'll focus the keyboard input into the vst.

Fantastic for any chiptune song. Works like a charm and I am using DarkWave Studios (not exactly a common DAW, but I rather enjoy it). This takes my back to my Commodore 64 days!
How do you get it to work in DarkWave? what folder do you put the .dll, and how do you start it up? I just downloaded DarkWave to use this, so any help would be appreciated

Pretty cool plugin with lots of control over the pitch timbre and speed and also a singing mode which is nice.
