Pitchproof can shift the pitch of the input. The effect is meant to combine old styles of pitch shifting with the quality you expect from modern plug-ins.
The result is this pitch pedal simulation that has most of what is great about guitar harmonizer pedals, and still preserves the signal's integrity.
The Blend control will let you use a fully shifted output, or the dry and wet signals mixed (a harmony). The Pitch menu lets you select pitches like +7 or -7, or harmonies which are intelligent pitch shift effects. These harmonizer effects are intended to be played in a certain major or minor scale. So selecting C (major that is) scale for Key, which doubles as Am (A minor), means you should play only the notes A, B, C, D, E, F, and G for the most harmonized results. Key is not important for non-harmony settings. Detune is good for getting a more natural effect, only a little is needed (a little up or down from the center position).
On the bottom there are some other options. You can choose mono, for lower CPU usage, or stereo for stereo inputs. Transient Fix can be on or off, on is recommended but if you have strange glitches you may try turning it off. If you have a strong attack to your input it will clearly preserve that better, but if you have a fade in to notes, like a pad it won't have a noticeable effect.
It's got a guitar tuner! That's right, since it detects pitch anyway we decided to display it as a tuner and it can be made stationary in the bottom right if it is an eyesore.

How do I install for Logic Pro on Mac?

Any help on installing in ableton? Plugin is not showing up, thanks!

very fun for old school alt/goth/dreampop tones. You have to use different notes on some chords cause they won't sound right played regular. you'll see what I mean. It is fun and I love it with a clean tone, reverb, chorus, delay, to get a nice alternative dream pop sound.

Been using it a lot lately. Great plugin.

Tip: It is new to me; but, I didn't know this. Steinberg suggests you store all your 64 bit VST3 files in the common file dir. --> C:Program FilesCommon FilesVST3. The C:Program Files (x86) locations are for 32bit. Hope that helps!

Great plugin! The only thing missing is the ability to control Pitch and Key modes via MIDI (like BLEND and DETUNE).

Thanks! Great plugin!

Window user, open local disk c, then go program files(x86),thn go vstplugin and paste your dll file here, then open your fl studio n refresh n get it.
In FL Studio you can put the plugin in any folder your like, because the program can be configured to search in multiple vst folders. Go to Option/Manage Plugins, and left side of the plugin manager next to "Plugin Search Paths" you have an icon with a folder with a "+". Also note that FL Studio can find the dll files a few levels deep, meaning that you can have in each of your VST folders multiple folder named after the plugin.
A little help pls. I put the dll file into obs-studio plugin folder but nothing shows up. Help
its in vst2 folder
Maic, that folder doesnt exist
SAME PROBLEM HERE BUD.. ANY NEW SOLUTIONS?

Excellent vst, very helpful, thanks for the hard work you put in.

Excellent piece of software. Sounds good, very easy to use, very stable. Especially good with electric guitars. Plus, there aren't many free harmonizer VSTs around, so this one is absolutely worth having. The "Detune" function, if a very small amount is used, can add a touch of realism at simulating different voices.

I use to "fake" a bass with my guitar in my home recordings. This plugin is the best i`ve tried for that. I put it on -12, and works really good. The better way i know to make a guitar sounds like a bass.

Thoroughly impressed at the quality of this plugin. This stands shoulder to shoulder with many paid plugins. Fantastic.
This is making a lot of sense, thanks. Your work is really appreciated

Best free pitch shifter and it comes with intervals! Uses a lot of CPU tho, so if you are using it on many tracks or clips you will have to pre-render.

Really nice, just wish I could add harmonies *below* the notes played
You might be able to achieve this using a send to a standard pitch shift that puts the signal down an octave and then apply pitchproof. Might be artifacty but you could probably get some cool effects.
Dude, thats a really cool idea.
Just beautifulllll

Ничтяк!!!
Its cool) But i hear some noise like 'clicks' and so effect autotune. but its not hear so much. i like this.
Yep!!! Ideas flowing

Does what it needs to do, uses a huge chunk of cpu power though.

Very good tool! Simple in use and function, works well with Reason 10

Fabulous!!!

Been using this for a long while and only came back to say how much I love it. Simple to use and really effective. I use it to record fake bass lines with my guitar. It is not a bass, of course, but it does the job frequency-wise for home recordings.
Superb.

Used it for down-tuning guitar for live practice, MIGHT be useable, the latency is really quite low but not perfect. if you have less than 6ms latency on your interface you might get away with it. Sounds great through an amp sim with high gain too, but most modern pitch shifting algorithms do anyway.

Great! easy and intuitive to use. Gets the job done! Thanks!

Much less artifacts than expected for a free vst. This seems to be a top notch solution... finally. Thank you!!
(5 / 5)
The speed and quality of this effect is incredible. I was amazed how low I could detune an instrument before any artifacts became audible at all. It does distort when using noisy samples but with a clear input signal this VST works at least as well as some $100+ stompboxes that I no longer regret not buying.
One bit of caution - the "mono" mode is actually left channel only, so adjust your inputs accordingly. :)

Easy harmonizer.

I'VE FINALLY FOUND IT! <3 took days worth of searching.

Perfect! Thank you!

Very nice, but one comment. I want to use it for vocal harmonies and it won't do a full octave under MIDI control. Can you fix that?
(5 / 5)
This is really a great piece of art, a must have.

I can't believe this is rated below Octopussy. Far, far superior sound and range. Octaves up and down, 3'rd,4'th 5'th intervals and more. And clean!! If I want distortion and fuzz Id rather add it selectively. Great effect plugin!! One of the best and free!!

4 out of 5. This thing is top notch! Quite cpu heavy for 1 pedal but very worth it if ur system can handle it.

You saved my day!!!

This is an extremely fast pitch shifter with enhanced functions.
