bent is a circuit-bent resynthesis effect.
It will recreate the incoming audio into an approximation of itself using a waveform-morphing audio oscillator. Depending on the volume and pitch of the audio, it will gate, stutter and morph the output in sync with your host tempo

This is the plugin you want to avoid, not only because of how it does the job, which is not what you would expect. However, it's not completely useless as some people suggest. You can use it to permanently damage your audio output device (speakers/headphones/etc) with +50 decibel nearly instant peaks. Luckily it's less likely to impair your hearing, as these are mostly just jumps and not perceived loudness expected equivalent. Don't get bent (pun intended).

This will chew up whatever signal and turn it into something unrecognizable (in a bad way imo)

Crushes up just about anything into fine audio paste; sometimes WAY too much, but that's completely welcome in my eyes.

Very simple, and good at what it does, FSU sound. I've been using it for years.
