My "go to" Mellotron VST for many years now. 100% reliable, great sounds and considerably lighter to carry around than the real thing.
Slower attack and long release on the flute with some reverb is wonderfully haunting behind guitar etc.

I've used a lot of mellotron samplers in my day, I own a Nord that has some pretty great mellotron sounds on it as well, and I keep coming back to this one. Highly recommended!

Simple and useful :)

I'm sure this one has a lot of potential, it just needs a lot of work to be really 'great' by any means. That being said, if you want a more 'realistic-sounding' Mellotron VST, look up the Redtron VST program family.

Love it - really sounds like a mellotron and great for atmospheres and that old prog rock sound.

Mellotrons were/are overrated. As a result, this plugin is doo doo.
Overrated possibly, but in the day they were life-changing. Plus you couldn't get anything else. Without them, no polysynths or prog rock, or VSTIs, for that matter.
Your opinion of Mellotrons is entirely irrelevant to what the rating of the plugin should be. Does it do its job? Does it do it well? That's all that needs to be rated. Imagine being so self-important you tank the rating of a VST because you don't like the instrument it portrays. I hope you've learned better than this in five years.
That being said, is there a way to replace or add samples to it? That would be a lovely multi-purpose VST. It makes the best sounding mellotron sound I've heard so far! Some nice user banks added to it, would be Analoguely pleasant. Tapework is probably the first tweakbench I am gonna buy the newest version of :)
