MIDI Monitor

MIDI Monitor is a plugin which shows the incoming MIDI messages.

Because some hosts treat instrument- and effect-plugins differently (and do not allow plugging one kind of plugin into a slot of a different kind), there is an instrument and an effect version of the plugin to make it pluggable everywhere. The MIDI-events are passed through unchanged, the same holds for any incoming audio signal.
  • Shows note-events, controllers, pitch-wheel and much more.
  • Event filter (to show only events that are of interest).
  • 2 versions available (for VST-effect and VST-instrument slots).

If you use a lot of MIDI and tests different MIDI hardware frequently, it's the essential tool for you. You can filter the events you will see, helping visualization. Rated it just because its rating is too low, and it is too good to deserve that. ;)

Looks perfect but failed to display desired my connected controllers inputs. Yes, my DAW filters and removed such MIDI messages, but who the heck I care about the physics? I expected the program to be omnipotent and solve the problem of things, that are technically impossible. Well, I know what I'm talking about. As a kid these days, I rated 1 as the best, number one. #Sarcasm reload

It doesn't show the mod wheel in my A80 midi keyboard. I have changed it in the past but I know it does sends something and I wanted a quick view of what message sends without having to mess with the A80 manual. So much for a "MIDI Monitor"...
