Limiter №6 is a limiter modules processor.

I just bought me a new MacBook. All Plug-Ins are already working just the Limiter no.6 doesn't work. Pls Help. FL Studio says there's a unknown Problem lol.

Main element of my mastering chain for a long time! Complete: compressor, multiband limiter, clipper and maximizer in a single plugin. Generates a little more noise and saturation than modern plugins, but if not pushed too hard it does the job perfectly!
I've been using Limiter No6 on my old Mac for years and love it. I recently upgraded to a new M1 Mac running Ventura and Logic Pro X and I cannot get this plugin to install. Anyone have any recommendations for running this on an up to date Mac?
Hey, if you're still looking for a fix, you can remove the developer tag from the VST using a terminal command. Just tested this on Ableton running on Ventura and my Limiter6 is back! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S-FH9Tlkj5M

Simplemente el mejor contra el Limiter Z que tambien es gratis, el hecho de ser multibanda y lo bien que se adapta el clipper al final de la cadena con el Inter sample peaks es monstruoso el resultado.

La verdad uso este plugin como control automático de volumen (AGC) para luego usarlo con un compresor multibanda y me impresiona lo bien que lo hace a diferencia de otros plugins que probé, sólo ocupo el compresor con una ganancia de 16, un ratio de 2.5, un atack de 1s y el release desactivado y con esto obtengo lo que quiero.

Fantastic limiter in Cubase, sadly it won't work in logic!
I disagree. Limiter 6 works perfectly in LPX. Great on tracks, outstanding on a mixbus! Sometimes I even use 2 instances per track; comp on the front end and limiting at the end of the chain.
If you did not like it, that means you dont know how to use it. I am reading the manual of limiter 6 for 3 days and tuned it. I comparized fabfilter L2 and limiter6 on my song and result is, the limiter6 is the best limiter! Not as freeware, best of all. note: The default gui is not good so search for alternative gui s for limiter6. You will enjoy it I promise
My go-to comp/limiter! I “think” I’m able to dial in more accurately using the “Blackface” GUI... crazy, huh!

Absolutely correct. I'm messing with it on my master bus right now (1-3 db gr, max) and it's just absolutely cracking on the snare and kick. There are some sonic qualities about it that I'm just not super hyped about, but I can't believe how good the drums sound. Unreal...

This Limiter is amazing. It is super transparent and will get you the loudness you need without breaking a sweat. The built in compressor and High Frequency is a nice touch. This free plugin replaced my Waves L2 plugin that I payed $69 for.

Used wrong, this thing can glue a mix like an SSL. Lots of great tools in one package. The ENV1 skin makes much more sense to me than the original. Every time I opened it (and that is often), I had to relearn what the heck did what. :)

Wow!!! for a free plugin, this is way better than top brand names such as Waves, Sonnox, Brain workz etc. I use this last in the chain when doing digital mastering, you can get your RMS & Peak Level right up with the industry standard mastered tracks with no distortion / pumping or stressed audio, dead easy to use as well. Love it

Since I am a mastering sucker, I always a appreciate a tool, that warns me, when I am doing something wrong. I am a progrocker heavily influenced by classical music (you know, with conducters and stuff...) so limiting is something that corrupts dynamics for me. But I've learned to use this in a very subtle way. It can be a beast, though. It's lovehate I think. Recommendation: Don't think long, download it! 6 of 5.

I'm always looking for tools dedicated to just one thing and do it well. I do make an exception for this one. While it may look like another confusing, over-hyped plugin (which I don't like), I do like the ordered left to right structure/workflow. Which, in reality, makes it 5 really simple tools in one package. It's advisable to read the manual -which is a great read, if you want realize the potential of this tool. Bravo.

Very useful, especially for the final mix. Go to the publishers website to get the new GUI... It is blacker than a Spinal Tap Album.

I have CUBASE6 and at this time, I use this VST as a limiter only (I turn off the other buttons) on my vocals, inserted after the GranComp3 multi-band compressor and finish the mix in the MASTERING stage using all the whistles and flutes - the track is LOUD and without distortion or any clipping! NICE...GET ONE!
