I was surprised by this synthesizer. It could do far-out stuff not just plucked strings, but it could be difficult to tweak. Watch out for your studio monitors and hearing while adjusting it! The "cabinet modeling" could make the filter LFO less responsive. The in-built presets are much appreciated. I was going to pass on it or hold back for as long as possible. Kruud was very good for chiptune-like business, otherwise it sucked and it had that "sign" which looked like something adopted by a pretentious actor which made me biased toward this developer for a long while. It's just me.

This one is godlike for a free vst. The only downside that was already mention is the mono only sounds.

The most unique sounding physical modelings I've ever seen. You must hear it yourself. it's not realistic but the presets are so recognizable that one could say you can't reproduce them with any other synth. The only downside is it's mono (It's not monophonic but has no stereo sound).

You could load two instances into your DAW and assign each to a different audio channel, playing them simultaneously with the same patch. You could even get panning that way.
