Azurite is a multi-voice chorus with a focus on rich sounds and versatile controls.
My goal in designing it was to make as flexible a chorus as possible without losing great tones and ease of use. The result is an effect that will be handy for producers, guitarists, and glitch lovers alike.
Unlike most choruses, Azurite allows for multiple simultaneous voices. Each of these voices has its own delay line that is modulated by a separate LFO. Adding multiple voices leads to a thicker, smoother, and less wobbly tone. It also makes vivid stereo spreading possible with a mono signal. The Voices control chooses how many voices the chorus uses: one, two, four, or eight.

Gotta say, this one has been disappointing. I've heard it praised up and down, but it sounds dull and lifeless to me. It just doesn't sound good compared to others of its class such as Multiply, Charsiesis or JBR Chorus. It's not that its bad, but even with all its knobs and multiple voices, it struggles to compete with many other freebies.

Hands down the best chorus plugin out there, it has every single control you need and it sounds amazing

Not just a simple chorus; there are so many options that you can easily tweak other sounds and instruments as well. It works perfectly fine in LMMS/Linux. Just give it a try!

Do you have to have a DAW installed before any of these VSTs will show up and work, all I want to do is work with my vocals a bit simply with. Don't need a fancy big DAW software at all really.

Absolutely the best chorus.
To use when you need more controls to get what you want. Easy to get basic chorus. Easy to get something more complex.
