Maxwell Smart is a transparent true peak limiter / loudness maximizer with look-ahead.
It's designed to boost the overall loudness while maintaining transients without audible distortion. Maxwell Smart also has 4x ISP (inter-sample peak) detection to tame the 'invisible' peaks between regular sample peaks.

A truly excellent limiter. The ISP protection is particularly noteworthy. Most limiters that have this functionality will sacrifice transients in pursuit of keeping those intersample peaks from clipping but, somehow, Maxwell Smart keeps transients very much intact. There is barely any noticeable difference to transient heavy material when switching it on. Even if I'm using a different limiter to achieve the volume I need (I master for a living) I will stick Maxwell on the end with the ISP function engaged.

Great plugin! I've been currently using this for mastering in conjunction with other maximizer, limiter, and even a clipper plugin. It's also a easy to use plugin with just a few things to tweak of (like what i see on other free maximizer plugins as well) which makes learning curve quite easy especially for beginners, thus it's also sound transparent!

This is really great for getting that over-compressed loudness war sound. Excellent for making songs as loud as possible when the listeners will generally not care if things are hyper-compressed.

This one passed my test. Great JOb
My 'True-Peak Brickwall', which I put behind other limiters that can't do true peak. (Unfortunately most limiters overshoot a lot, when you measure for true peak, e.g. with the 'Youlean Loudness Meter'). I set threshold and ceiling to -1.2db and check 4x oversampling. Beside of this 'misuse', Maxwell Smart is one of the very best transparent limiters available today, and it's free.

Apart from L2, this is the best mastercomp I've used. It balances the mix with clarity when stressed.
It's giving me error when I search the plug-ins. This one is colored red and says error :/
I don't say that and I have FL Studio 12.4. Or, you can test this with Audacity, it works perfeclty for me

This was not recognized by my XP SP3 DAW, Apparently, you need to have .NET framework which I do not have. Too bad; it gets great reviews everywhere. I went with LoudMax instead.
You know, you could probably just download the relevant .NET framework and you'd be fine.

This is great loudness maximizer. I find this to be very transparent. I was very shocked and surprised at how well this plugin sounds..... I highly recommend giving it a try. It's a keeper for me !!!
